January 5737/3000 pages
February 13176/3000 pages
March 10351/3000 pages
April 8636/3000 pages

(this is different from the amount of pages of the books I have read, because here I count in also the books I DNFd. )

January DNF

The Phantom Tollbooth read about 40 pages

February DNF
Jungfrustenen read about 110 pages

March DNF

March was slow, April has started fast! Now I have read approximately 400 pages a day these 83 days of 2019 I have been reading... and 1 1/3 books a day. Right now I think I can easily reach 500 books this year, but - let's see. I have 30 books and less than 3000 pages left to read to reach my goal, and I see absolutely no problems reaching it.

So - May arrived and I stopped reading. It's November now, and I just might start again. 58 days left of the year... 17 books left from POP sugar challenge...

Ketutar Jensen I'm reading the Invisible Man and came across The Exiles and this list:
Tales of Mystery and Imagination, by Edgar Allan Poe. Dracula, by Bram Stoker. Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley. The Turn of the Screw, by Henry James. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, by Washington Irving. Rappaccini's Daughter, by Nathaniel Hawthorne. An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge, by Ambrose Bierce. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass, by Lewis Carroll. The Willows, by Algernon Blackwood. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, by L. Frank Baum. The Shadow Over Innsmouth, by H. P. Lovecraft. And more! Books by Walter de la Mare, H. Russell Wakefield, William Fryer Harvey, H.G. Wells, Cynthia Asquith, Aldous Huxley—all forbidden authors."

Hmm... there are books there I haven't read... :-)
Yay, a challenge!

Charles Dickens
A.E. Coppard

"Firelight limned the faded gilt titles: The Willows, The Outsider, Behold, The Dreamer, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Marvelous Land of Oz, Pellucidar, The Land That Time Forgot, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and the monstrous names of Arthur Machen and Edgar Allen Poe, and James Branch Cabell and Lord Dunsany and Blackwood and Lewis Carroll; the names, the old names, the evil names. "

If it isn't a Halloween challenge, it should be :-D

Also, Five books Ray Bradbury thought you should read

"The collected essays of George Bernard Shaw, which contain all of the intelligence of humanity during the last hundred years and perhaps more," books written by Loren Eiseley, "who is our greatest poet/essayist of the last 40 years,"

Eudora Welty
Emily Dickinson
Gerard Manley Hopkins
Robert Louis Stevenson
Edmond Hamilton
Henry Kuttner
Thomas Wolfe
Jules Verne
Greg Bear
John Collier
Edith Wharton
Katherine Anne Porter
Richard Matheson
John Cheever
Washington Irving
Robert Frost
