The GhostWalkers are my second largest series with 14 books currently in that series and another one that I’m currently writing. As you likely know by now, I write all of my books to be stand alone stories. You can read them in any order and you’ll have a full story. But, like most series there is often an overall story arc that can enhance a reader’s overall enjoyment of the story of the GhostWalkers.



The GhostWalkers are military experiments gone awry. They were to be psychically enhanced, but many also had their DNA manipulated. Some of these super soldiers have brain bleeds and need “anchors” to help sooth them and keep them focused. The later experiments had more DNA splicing, but less defects.



There are four teams of GhostWalkers located in different areas around the United States. If you don’t want to start at the very beginning with team 1 you might consider starting with Viper Game, which has us in the Louisiana Bayou with team 4. Viper Game introduces us to some of the failed experiments made up of orphaned girls with strange DNA splicing/editing.
If you’d like to start even later in the series consider Power Game. This introduces us to a new set of women who are more closely tied to Whitney, the scientist who created the GhostWalker program and it expands into more international intrigue while still keeping us with team 4.



Again, keep in mind that you can read any of the GhostWalker books on their own and have a complete story. These are just some suggestions of starting points if you’re someone who wants to jump in later in a series.

I’ve never been to the Goodreads headquarters in San Francisco and I’m very excited and honored to be invited. I’m also very excited to have the opportunity to meet bestselling authors Casey McQuiston and Jasmine Guillory who will also be there!

Last week when I was in the Gallery Bookshop for the Lethal Game virtual signing I found Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston and The Wedding Party by Jasmine Guillory and of course I had to have them!



I just read Casey’s Red, White & Royal Blue and loved it! The characters are so well done and slow-building romance is sweet. You love them both so much you can’t wait for them to realize they love each other. It’s not an easy path and I liked the thoughtfulness the author puts into the story.




Today, I’ve started Jasmine’s The Wedding Party and so far I’m really enjoying it, too. It’s very well-written and I’m already hooked!





Lethal Game comes out on March 3rd and we’re leaving the bayou for San Diego, so we’ll have a change of scenery. And if you’ve watched the book trailer already you know we may be seeing someone from the other teams. Maybe more than one someone. Who knows? Okay, I know. I’m wondering who’s excited about potentially seeing other GhostWalkers?

Like any action film there’s a great deal of conflict in Phantom Game. The main story is, of course, a love story. But this is also science fiction and action. Lots of action.

We’re back with Team 1 and 2 and that brings with it old conflicts. These are the teams that were first experimented on. They have a lot of problems both physically and psychically. How have they fared over the last few years? We’re about to find out.



Jonas has always been a quiet character who I knew had some dark secrets he didn’t even want his team to know about. So when I realized Camellia would be the heroine of Phantom Gamet I knew immediately Jonas would be the hero. Camellia keeps secrets as well.


Put two secretive, strong, enhanced people together and add incredible romantic chemistry into the mix and stir in betrayal it is going to make things explosive.

Many readers ask about the children of the GhostWalkers and they’ll be happy to get a little information in that regard. Not only is there an enemy army coming to Montana to attack the two compounds, but they have every intention of capturing one of the children and murdering the others.

Jonas “Smoke” Harper is in Team One of the GhostWalkers and was one of the first of a group of soldiers experimented on…enhanced. Camellia Mist was in one of the first group of orphaned girls genetically enhanced and trained as children to become elite soldiers as women. Sent out on dangerous missions and deemed expendable by the government sanctioned scientist Dr. Whitney.

In Phantom Game, as a special army comes to attack the GhostWalkers Jonas and Camellia must put their special gifts to the test in order to save their teams and their families.

This story, just like all of the GhostWalker books, is a standalone but reading Shadow Game, the first in the GhostWalker series gives you insight to how Jonas and his team escaped the horrible fate Whitney had planned for them.

When I first began writing the Thunder Game and this series has been an incredible journey, not just in crafting the characters and their stories, but in the level of research I’ve done to bring authenticity to each book. I’ve spoken with military experts, scientists, survivalists, and those who work in cutting-edge fields of genetic research and special operations training. I’ve also traveled to some of the locations where my books take place, immersing myself in the environments to ensure that every setting—from the swamps of Louisiana to the vast, untamed mountains—feels real and alive.

Diego Campos and the GhostWalkers are elite soldiers, each possessing unique enhancements that make them formidable weapons. But they are also human, with vulnerabilities, fears, and desires which is easily seen in the very first chapter of Thunder Game. Diego and Leila’s battles don’t just take place in the field but in their hearts as well.

One of the things I love most about writing this series is weaving together the adrenaline-pumping action with the deep, emotional connections that define true romance. These warriors are fiercely protective of the women or men they love, and the bonds they form are unbreakable, even in the face of unimaginable danger.

The science behind the GhostWalkers is one of the most thrilling aspects of the series to research. Advances in genetic manipulation, bioengineering, and psychic abilities have long been explored in scientific communities, and it’s fascinating to see just how much of my fictional world is rooted in reality. But I also love diving into the heart of my characters—exploring their struggles, their pasts, and the way they come together to create their own family.
