Thank you, Emrys, for creating this list. It is much more useful than the 4.5 with 100 ratings list.

My goal when creating the list was to set the rating count threshold at a level where about 1000 books qualified.

Some books have subsequently been removed due to no longer meeting the 4.50 star minimum requirement, but there will likely be a greater number that now qualify due to books on Goodreads generally increasing the number of ratings they have over time.

I'm thinking this list would work better if the threshold was moved to 4.60 and above

and readability-- nothing written on a 5th-grade level!

I've started a list based on 4.6 or more, and at least 3000 ratings:

The rating count could be changed to 1000 or 5000 if you like (10,000 will be too similar to the list "Goodreads Top 100 - Highest Rated Books on Goodreads with at least 10,000 Ratings "), and we could possibly have it without compilations and sequels.

The reason to go with more than 3000 ratings would be to make the list a manageable size - I think 3000 would probably work.

Or we could try to turn these into promotable lists - says 3000 ratings 4.40 to 4.49, 4.50 to 4.59, 4.60 and above
