As it says "List made after the popularity of the similar 4.2 list", does this mean we have to stay between a rating of 4.0 and 4.2? I did, but there are heaps of books on this list with a rating of more than 4.2, which is what made me wonder...

I believe the "similar to 4.2 list" has been placed on several of the lists as a reason for the list being created, not as a limitation. The title of the list says 4 and above. There appear to be only two limitations, a rating of 4 and above, and a book with 1000+ ratings.

Oh, right, and there's a line about sequels and collections are not allowed. So, 4 limitations. Rating, number of ratings, not a sequel, not a collection.

Test of the Twins by Margaret Weis and War of the Twins by Margaret Weis both meet the standards as far as having a 4.0 rating and at least 1000 votes but are both sequels.

They are numbers 209 and 215.
