Cool idea for a list.

Is the intention to limit this to 100 books? so if a librarian finds a book with a higher avg rating that has more than 5,000 ratings, they should remove the lowest?

Or was this intended to be a minimum of rating of say 4.4?

Yes, it is up to a 100 books. If you find any other book with a higher rating and at least 5,000 ratings let me know here in the comments and I will add it ASAP. Take in consideration what I wrote in the lists description.
The only other book I found was "The Invisible Life Of Addie LaRue", but it just came out so I will wait a few weeks to finally put it on this list.

And yes, I changed it a few months back because I realized it was not really a large amount here on Goodreads.
Could you please remove After The Fall, Fullmetal Alchemist Vol 2, Storm And Silence #1 and Lockwood & Co. #4? For all of these there is already one from the same series, except for After The Fall which is below the 10,000 minimum.

Hey, just wanted to point out that it's "one book per saga" but you have both "The way of Kings" and "Words of radiance". Those of course being the first 2 books of the Stormlight Archive.

Thanks for pointing this out. Can't control how other people vote. Words of Radiance is rated at 4.73. Way of Kings is rated at 4.61. So removing Way of Kings.

Thank you once again for taking care of this list! Could you also please remove The Only Plane In The Sky: An Oral History of 9/11, The Girl With The Louding Voice, We Are In A Book! (Elephant & Piggie #13) and The War That Saved My Life? The first one is nonfiction and not precisely a memoir, and the other three have a 4.46 average rating but less than 200,000 ratings, which is the amount of ratings the lowest rated book in this list (also a 4.46 average rating) has.

You can now remove Wundersmith, The Empire Of Gold, Rumo & die Wunder im Dunkeln, Henrys Freedom Box, Starfish, Wrath, Beyond The Veil, Wrath Of Empire and The Winter Of The Witch, as Skyward is now the lowest book in the ranking with a 4.50 and +110,000 ratings. All these also have a 4.50 but far less ratings. Also Caste: The Origins Of Our Discontents for being non-fiction, and Underlord, as another book of the same series entered the list (Reaper).

It was, but someone added it again. I think perhaps it's been going up and down a bit in average rating, so it would have been 4.54 when they added it, but now it's 4.53 and might be back at 4.54 again in a couple of days...
As for your other comment, if the list is meant to have at least 100 books on it, 4.55 is too high at present. But please feel free to change my mind by adding more books that qualify :)

Would it be possible to have a version of this list that isn't junked up with manga/graphic novels?

The rating bias of those that actually read/review give them a disproportionate portion of this list, and their more niche nature means they are mostly immune to the common pattern of rating decay as newer books find a wider audience.
