In both these cases, they've played a dirty trick and redesigned the covers from the ones I own. The cover of my edition of Metamorphoses features a pencil drawing (all gray tones, at least) of some sort of stick figure turning into a tree and the Sophocles edition has a bright orange cover with a crudely drawn figure of a Greek soldier holding a shield while a white sword just hovers inexplicably over his calf.
