Summer: Design your perfect Wedding
Duration: June 1st - July 31st, 2016
Progress: 6 out of 11
**** Please don't be intimidated by the size of this one. Feel free to trim or reduce to the size you feel comfortable with. For example, you may just wish to tell us your color scheme instead of reading books for it. Just pick what part you want to read and fill in what you don't with what your choice would be. This is supposed to be fun and it should be catered to your preferences. So have fun and enjoy!
The first item on the agenda is to decided who is getting married. Are you acting as the wedding planner/match maker for this event or one of the actual participants? Are you creating the wedding of the century for you or for two of your favorite book characters whom if they only had the same author writing them would surely have gotten together.
- Read 1 or more books which include your favorite romance hero and/or heroine (depending on your role in this ceremony) or do an optional spell-it-out of the character's name (first, last, or full). Sorry guys this one only gets one guy and one girl since well, bigamy is illegal:
Hot Six by Janet Evanovich - ***** - 6/22/2016 - 336 Pages - Joe and Stephanie!

The second item on the agenda is to pick the oh so important wedding dress/Tux.
- You may pick one or more books that have a 'to die for' dress/suit you fell in love with on the cover, or the title has a dress/outfit in the title (example The Bride Wore Black) or do a spell-it-out challenge using the color of your dress, name of the color you choose, etc.
Bed of Roses by Nora Roberts - ***** - 6/17/2016

The third item on you agenda is to pick your rings.
- Read one or books depending on how you'll do this portion. You may read a book with wedding bands on the cover or do a spell-it-out challenge of the the material that make up your rings-- G*O*L*D, S*I*L*V*E*R, etc.
The fourth item on the agenda is to pick out the color scheme for your wedding. You may want to keep in mind the color you want for your flowers, the color you want for your bridesmaid's dresses, or the color of the groom's eyes.
- For this read one or more books with the colors in the title or one or more books that correspond to the colors in your scheme or do a spell-it-out of your colors.
Blue Color Scheme: Water Bound by Christine Feehan - *** - 6/16/2016

Fifthly, choose your bridal bouquet.
- Read one of more books which
* include the color(s) or names of the flowers in your bridal bouquet
* opt for a spell-it-out of what you'd like
* opt to read a book with a picture of what you'd like for your bridal bouquet on the cover
The sixth item on the agenda is to choose your wedding cake.
-Read one of more book that
* describes the color and/or flavor of your cake
* with a cake you like on the cover or the word 'cake' in the title
(Spell-it-outs are as always, acceptable)
Savor the Moment by Nora Roberts - ***** - 7/5/2016

The seventh item on your agenda is to select a keepsake for you and your spouse. Mine were a set of glasses that had the date of our wedding and names etched on them. (This one is optional)
- Read a book with a picture of it on the cover or in the title.
The eighth item on the agenda is to pick your mode of transportation.
- Read 1 or more books which contain some means of transportation on the cover on in the book that you'd like to ride away in after the wedding. You may, if you like, do a spell-it-out challenge.
The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion - **** - 7/11/2016 - Bike on the Cover

The ninth item on the agenda is to pick your song for the first dance.
- You may choose one or more books with couple dancing on the cover, have dancing or opt to do our ever popular spell-it-out challenge of your favorite song.
The tenth item on the agenda is to pick an entree or restaurant for the reception.
- You may choose one or more books
* with a restaurant, feast, dinner item, or food item on the cover (pizza, chicken kiev, ham, etc)
* that have pictures of sit down dinners on the covers
* which will be used to do a spell-it-out of your favorite food entree.
Lastly, pick your honeymoon destination.
- You may pick a book with
* your honeymoon destination on the cover
* the name of your destination in the title
* do a spell-it-out challenge.

June: Something Old, Something New
Duration: 6/1/2016 - 6/30/2016
Progress: 9 out of 9 (Difficult 9+ books)
Posting this early so you know what to expect and because I finished it. Hope you like. :)
June is the most popular month for weddings. Why? Perhaps it's popularity is due to the fact that the month of June was named after the Roman goddess Juno (Iunius) who is the goddess of marriage. While the real reason may have been lost, it's popularity still remains.
To honor the fact that June is the month for weddings the following poem will be used as the base for this challenge:
Something old, something new, Something borrowed, something blue, And a silver sixpence in her shoe.
So...
Read something old (Perhaps a classic or a book you've owned for a while and haven't read or an old favorite you'd like to read again)
Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons by Lorna Landvik - ***** - 6/1/2016 - 512 Pages
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas - **** - 6/9/2016 - 1276 Pages - Classic!

Read Something blue (has a blue cover or has blue in the title)
Water Bound by Christine Feehan - *** - 6/16/2016
Read something with luck in the title or has a good luck charm mentioned (since I doubt we'll find one that has something to do with a sixpence for your shoe)

June: Doughnuts and Donuts
Duration: 6/1/2016 - 6/30/2016
Doughnuts and Donuts
The first Friday in June is National Donut Day. This tradition was started during World War I when a military doctor impulsively gave several dozen doughnuts out to injured soldiers. This progressed into a fundraiser, then into a regular supply of doughnuts, given out by volunteers who became known as Doughnut Dollies.
Rules - Spell it out
Choose one or more doughnut related words from the list under the spoilers below or any other doughnut related word you know.
Then for each letter in the word, read books with titles, series names, authors (first or last name), characters (first or last name), that begin with letters that correspond to letters of the word you choose. You may ignore the indefinite and definite articles (a, an, the, etc).
(view spoiler)
