Ann Aguirre is a New York Times & USA Today bestselling author with a degree in English Literature; before she began writing full time, she was a clown, a clerk, a voice actress, and a savior of stray kittens, not necessarily in that order. She grew up in a yellow house across from a cornfield, but now she lives in sunny Mexico with her husband, children, and various pets. She likes all kinds of books, emo music, action movies and Doctor Who. She writes all kind of fiction in multiple genres, both YA and for adults. ...more

If I'm stuck, it usually means I've gone off course in the story, and if I can pinpoint where I messed up and fix it, the blockage usually resolves. But generally speaking, if you're just feeling creatively strangled, writing for pleasure or working on another project can help. It can also help to ask friends, family, or colleagues for help resolving a thorny plot problem. Or sometimes getting away for a bit, taking a shower or a walk, can shake a solution loose.(less)

Full disclosure: I received a copy of this book to be reading for a potential blurbed.

Readers, I blurbed it. And I don't blurb a lot of books.

I won't rehash plot details, as that's not how I review books. First, I'll provide the quote I sent:

Q: When is the next book coming out? A: I'm writing The Demon Prince now, but it needs to go through revisions, editing, proofreading, and formatting before it can be released. All of that takes time, so I'm aiming for January. Fingers crossed I can make it happen.

So far no. Maybe someday. :)

Lyndsey I was wondering if any studios have shown interest in optioning the rights to the Sirantha Jax series. It would be great to see a movie but even better would be a TV series, especially since the absence of shows like Battlestar Galactica, Stargate, and Lost. Just curious! She'd be perfect to base a show around.

Belinda Kroll I love the covers of your Sirantha Jax books. I've always thought they were lovely and I just wanted to let you know!
