I think if you're writing with the sole aim of writing a bestseller etc, then it is far easier to be discouraged because being published/good sales/bestseller lists etc are never guaranteed. It is important to write what you enjoy writing, If you love it, then the chances are that other people will too. I wrote as a hobby long before I was published, and did it because I loved it. If I ceased to be published tomorrow I would still write. So I think it's important to write something you love. If you find yourself demotivated by things you see in the industry, then try and pay less attention. For example if going on Twitter discourages you, then limit your time on Twitter. And don't forget that many people post their successes, but not the struggle it took to get there. Writing is a brilliant job, but it's hard work and it is never easy. Good luck! Sarah.(less)

So sorry for the delay in replying. For some reason I only just saw this. At the moment I don't have plans to write stories for Lisa, Rachel and Kirsti because I have a full writing schedule, but I wouldn't rule it out for the future. The books already completed are Emily's (First Time in Forever,) Brittany's (Some Kind of Wonderful - out summer 2015) and Skylar's (at the moment tentatively titled Christmas Ever After- out Nov 2015). I am in the process of planning a brand new series for HQN, but I think it very likely I may return to Puffin Island in the future. If you're on Facebook, then do join me there. I talk a lot about what I'm working on and would announce it there and on my website. Thanks for your question! Love Sarah xxxxx(less)

‘No, I’m not. I’m easy to please. When you peel my orange for breakfast, you please me. When you rub my shoulders before I go to sleep, that pleases me. When you defend me from a nasty comment, that pleases me. I’m easy to please, Angelos.’ Her heart was pounding. ‘Just don’t try and buy me.
