You can use an anthology in the stand-alone category if you want. The stories technically may be connected to a series sometimes but they are not the same as a series book so I am fine with it.

I was actually thinking for my altered category of books I've owned more than 2 yrs. I have probably 20+ anthologies here that I've had for years and I never read them. But they have shorts that go with series I'm reading or an author I want to try.

And I mean by reading the whole book. Not like counting each story as a challenge book but the whole book as 1.

Feel free to do that. I love the idea of reading books you have owned a long time. I have a habit of falling in love with new books and forgetting the old.

Yeah me too. Especially if the old books are by author's I know I like. Because I keep putting them off for new to me authors. Kind of like "I know I'll like that book so it's ok to keep it for now and I should read this book here and see if I like this author or not". Then of course the list of loved authors grows and grows and Mt. TBR gets higher and higher.

So true! I have a lot from authors I know I like but I am reading so many new to me ones this year. I just started "The Hunger Games" and have other new authors planned for challenges this year but I have 3 books on my shelf by Cornelia Funke (author of the Inkheart series) So the pile grows and grows.

Just did another update. Thanks to an industry convention and a super slow week at work-I got 3 more books in the last 4 days. I work for my mother, who is at the convention, so I can read at work if there's no well work for me to do. There's only so much cleaning I can do.

I did another update. I think I might move some of my 1st in a series books to the contemporary romance section. It seems like most of the NPRs that I read lately are historicals. Since it seems like just about every contemporary romance has some paranormal aspect to it nowadays.
