Sara | 123 comments 12/31/18: I'm not going to be able to pick all of my books ahead of time because I'm too fickle, so I'm adding books as they go on my to-read pile. And I may change some as I read to figure out how to fit everything into this puzzle. But I'm really excited about this year's reading!

3/31/19: I've been enjoying the challenge so much. It has definitely inspired me to do a lot more reading than usual and I have read some wonderful books that I would not have otherwise read. As of today, I am at 17/40, 4/10. My favorite book so far has been The Pisces.

4/20/19: Halfway! The 25th book (which put me at 20/40, 5/10) was Dolores Claiborne as my book with no chapters (46).

6/30/19: The year is halfway over and I am more than halfway through. Although, I am slowing down now that I am getting down to categories that are stumping me a little bit. As of today, I am at 30/40 and 7/10. The book I enjoyed the most this quarter was Lost and Wanted.

7/21/19: I finished the advanced prompts today, the last one was "read a book in the season it is set in". My favorite book of the advanced prompts was definitely Dolores Claiborne and my least favorite was A Woman Is No Man. Now I just need to finish 9 general prompts!

9/30/19: We're now 3/4 of the way through the year and where has all the time gone! I probably should have finished the challenge by now. I've read more than 50 books, but there were just a couple of prompts that have proved more challenging than I anticipated. My favorite book (from the challenge) this quarter was Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?.

Going into the last quarter of the year, I have four prompts left to finish: (9) a book you meant to read in 2018 (I was going to read a couple different books for this and couldn't get into any of them, which is probably why I didn't read them in 2018. My next attempt is going to be He Knew He Was Right); (16) a book with a question in the title (I've had this book on my to-read pile all year and just haven't picked it up, but I'm still planning to read Why Should the Devil Have All the Good Music?: Larry Norman and the Perils of Christian Rock); (28) a book recommended by a celebrity you admire (I'm going to try The Cactus, which was recommended by Reese Witherspoon); and (32) a book written by an author from Asia, Africa or South America (another one that I have had selected for quite some time but haven't gotten around to, and may switch, but for now I plan to read The Night Tiger).

11/17/19: Finished!! The last book I read was Why Should the Devil Have All the Good Music?: Larry Norman and the Perils of Christian Rock, which has been sitting on my shelf all year. I had a great time doing the challenge and can't wait to start again next year!
