Hey Penny hope you're all better now. I also added the book I was reading at the time (not then finished) just to get this list started. So no worries there. Now I'll actually read them first.

Regarding The Hunger Games, I don't know what the deal is there? 4 people had read it by 6am on Jan 01!
Hmmm did they stay up all night reading? I'll have a think about how to phrase the heading better.

HI Dina I know! But I think I've figured out what happened. In the beginning there were only 2 books on the list which I placed there to save the list from being voided by GR's. I think people voted on The Hunger Games (as one of those 2 books) to kinda bookmark this list for themselves.

I looked into deleting those first few votes but the only thing I can do "as creator" is delete the book entirely (not the individual votes) which isn't really fair in case people actually have read it plus GR's seemed to frown upon this in their rules section.

SO, sorry babe but unfortunately we'll have to suffer through the HG for a while yet. Hopefully it will get out voted soon.

OK...taking a leaf out of the book of Buggy, Hayes and Marlene, I've decided to carry the list experiment and record and cut it down a bit further. For anyone who is game, I'm attempting to keep a record of the books that 'Women born in the 70s have read in 2012'. I hope it is ok to post the link?

I wish I had the option of not counting manga towards my goal counter. I've read so many manga, but I know I haven't read 100 real books this year. :( I don't really count manga as reading a book because it's so quick. That makes this list nice, because now I can actually keep track. Looks like I only need 10 more to get to 100! :)

I could, but I also want to be able to go to their page and know when I read them. It's kinda a win-lose situation; either I take the dates off and not remember when I read them, or leave them on and trash my counter. But now that I have this list it makes it so much better. =)
