🐝 Shaz 🐝 | 1215 comments Just finished my second series for this year. Sons of Sigurd.
This was an enjoyable series. Which to me should be read in sequence. As it is a story of vengeance. Each son finds evidence of the people who killed there father and family. Which put together, finds the killers.

You must be a really fast reader.
I am not really slow , but 3 to 4 books a week is about average for me. I never read books , when I was young. Only started reading about 8 years ago. Do like to read series. Try to collect all books, before starting to read a series.
I have found some good series to read , from reading the post’s on this challenge

Well, it's not really humble, but on a good day, I can do 2 books a day. I've clocked myself at roughly 100 pages an hour if I am uninterrupted.

🐝 Shaz 🐝 | 1215 comments Wow that’s impressive Nilambari.

I have been reading the same book for about 4 days. Though I have been watching a new Viking series on Netflix for a few nights.

I just finished the series too. I actually enjoyed the first the most, and the third almost as much. I was a bit enamoured with the character of Dead Harry in no. 1; but loved the slow burn romance in number 3 (it kind of reminded me of Mary Balogh's style)

message 83: by Mariana (new)

Mariana | 2692 comments This is the only challenge I am on track for this year. Since I moved, I've been having to purchase rather than use the library. I read A Regency Rainbow: The Brothers Duke Series by Felicia Greene in January. It was a series of six novellas. I enjoyed all but the last one. I read a Highlander series by Celeste Barclay. They were all good but a little too similar. I will definitely plan to read more by her but break it up rather than reading one after another. My Scandelous Sisters books by Rose Gordon were just delivered by Amazon today (on Easter!) so that's what I'm starting now.

🐝 Shaz 🐝 | 1215 comments I have read book 1 in the series Brides of Virtue by Betina Krahn. THE WIFE TEST.
I have just started to read book 2 THE HUSBAND TEST.
These are set in Medieval times.

Jan (jan130) | 2663 comments I finished the Carsington Brothers series by Loretta Chase (including BOTM Mr Impossible). An enjoyable series overall. I liked books 2, 3 and 4 best out of the 5 books. (Mr Impossible is #2).

@Jan, Great job! I wanted to read this series but I haven't found a book by Loretta Chase that's as good as Lord of Scoundrels.

🐝 Shaz 🐝 | 1215 comments I have finished reading The Brides of Virtue series by Betina Krahn I gave books 1 and 2. 4 stars but they are both 3.5 for me. Book 3 . 3 stars.

I have been on a roll. First my husband had covid, and now me, so we have been trapped at home - and feeling sorry and miserable, so I have been binge reading my series. So far in April I have completed the Ladies Most Unlikely series by Jayne Fresina, I read Almost Heaven, the 3rd in the Judith McNaught Sequels, I have read the first 3 in the Carsington Brothers (and am looking forward to books 4 and 5), and finally read some of the Bedwyn Series by Mary Balogh.

I have wanted to read the Bedwyn series forever, but the books are not available to purchase as ebooks in Australia. I cannot get hold of books 1 and 2, but did manage to read 3, 4 and 5 via open library and have very much enjoyed them. Next in line....the final one Wulfric's HEA

Sorry to hear you and your husband have had covid, Susan. Hope you're both feeling better soon.

A pity you couldn't get hold of the Bedwyn books 1 and 2. #1 in particular is a nice read, about Aidan, a dour military colonel, and the first to marry. Lucky you to be reading #6 Slightly Dangerous for the first time. A beautiful book. One of my fav HRs ever.

The prequel A Summer to Remember is very nice too. There are also lovely follow-up revisits with Wulfric and Christine in a novella called Another Dream, in Once Upon A Dream, about the sister of the heroine, Christine, from Slightly Dangerous. Also they appear as secondary characters in Simply Love :) No need to add these to your series challenge of course, but if you enjoy Wulfric's story, I thought you might be interested in these others.
