Jason Pierce 274 of 275... You beast! One book and one more week to go. Will she make it?! Mine says I've read 63 of 25, but half of those are short stories. I'm counting 31 of them as actual books. 275... Wow. Go ahead on with your bad self!

message 52: by karen (new)

karen ha! just between you and me (shhhh, internet), i've already read nine books i haven't added to here yet. i have a quandary i am trying to handle, but yeah - i'm already past my goal. monsterporn really adds up, ya know!

message 53: by Jason (new)

Jason Pierce Another tick mark in the pro column for monster porn. Out of curiosity, are there any marks on the con side?

message 54: by karen (new)

karen well, it has made me less inclined to go traipsing through the forest late at night wearing a bikini...

message 55: by Jason (new)

Jason Pierce I try not to do that myself.

message 69: by karen (new)

it's all good, reviewing can be fun sometimes (i enjoyed your review for the leonard cohen book... hope I can see him live one day)

message 77: by karen (new)

karen reviewing is always fun, but sometimes it's hard to remember specifics about a book i read months ago and tricky to make the review useful to others.

but not that leonard cohen one - that book is great and easy to review.

i really hope you get to see him - every concert i have seen has been 3 1/2 hours. he is an incredible performer.

I always enjoy your reviews :)

WOW, now that's worth the price of admission:) I'm a newbie to his stuff but I love his style

message 79: by Jason (new)

Jason Pierce I review everything I read as well, and I often wonder why. I think it's self-important arrogance issues for me, but recognize not everyone's put together that way. Also, I just really enjoy giving my 2 cents on stuff, and I like writing. Sometimes my reviews might even address the book it's attached to, ha ha.

For the record, I find your reviews useful, and they help me determine whether or not to check out a book I'm considering. The others I enjoy for the entertainment value. Thanks for all the work you put into them.

message 80: by Mike (new)

Mike Good luck catching up, Karen!

I was trying to write up the pitiful number of books I had ignored for for months and I still missed three...

not the way I wanted to begin 2015.

HNY

message 81: by karen (new)

karen there's still time!! you have half a day to make jan 1st the best start to a year ever!

message 82: by Mike (new)

Mike Well, I just caught up on all my update feed notifications, so that's got me 1/2 way there!

message 83: by karen (new)

karen progress!

message 84: by Mike (new)

Mike Yes, it felt good as I had gone several days without getting onto GR. I did get all but one review posted yesterday (could not recognize a title swap) and finished up this morning.

Looking forward to another fun-filled and informative year of reviews and aifafs! Cheers for 2015.

message 85: by karen (new)

karen i never see your reviews in my feed! now i will have to hunt them.

message 86: by Mike (new)

Mike Really? But then again you have so many friends...

I posted about 10 in the last 3-4 days. Nothing that comes close to the brilliance of a Karen essay, mind you and all are completely GIF-free.

message 87: by Mike (new)

Mike You're the best. Thank you for the likes!

message 88: by karen (new)

karen hahaha i am going to go read more of them in a little bit - my feed is so weird - i only see reviews from some people, and i never remember to go and seek other people out. silly goodreads!

message 89: by Dawn (new)

Dawn I have officially given up on last year !!!! My total concentration is on present and future . HA HA HA ! Well, as soon as I typed that statement I thought of a few things I need to do on my feed ESPECIALLY since I now have a wonderful Apple MAC instead of a PC that I know how to use!!! Always the technical stuff for me ! THIS YEAR NOTHING WILL GET ME DOWN OR HOLD ME BACK ! I may be just a bit late all of the time. I too, have reviews I needed to type into the computer and add but instead of trying to quickly impress or meet a goal , I will do so in time as I hone my skills with MAC!!!
I fully intend to be better at placing my reviews in the right spaces instead of discussions !!! So , I also must work on those tech. Issues with Goodreads and the new IOS system. Anyone else out there have issues with learning to use MAC's new system ? Any book suggestions !!! ??? HA!
Well , HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL !!!! Any year with books and friends will be great for me !!! Thank you all for past joy and looking toward to future HAPPINESS !!! Dawn

message 90: by karen (new)

karen hahah i am definitely not qualified to give you technical help, but i wish you the best of luck in that department and everything else. woohoo, 2015!!!
