Are any of you using shorter books? I looked in the "rules" section although there are no rules so I was just wondering. For instance I'm going to be reading Of Mice and Men this month, which is only 100 pages, but it is an "O" book....I feel like a challenge this big can have a few short books thrown in but....just wondering what everyone else thought. I don't want to "cheat" lol! ;)

Are any of you using shorter books?"
Since the rules don't say anything about a minimum page length, yes, I'm using shorter books if they fit any of the spots I have left :)

Are any of you using shorter books? I looked in the "rules" section although t..."
Heck yes.... :)

Re: shorter books, I'm with Ruth, Angie - heck yes. Especially for some of the harder/more plentiful letters (U's, I's, and Y's, I'ma looking at you).
And on a personal note, Of Mice and Men is one of only a few high school lit books that I reread of my own volition. It's one of my favorite classics. Hope you enjoy it :)

..."
I did enjoy it! =)
I can't believe such a short book could bring up so emotions! Definitely made me want to read more by John Steinbeck!

LOL! I've heard a couple people mention that one. I've added it to my TBR!
The only other one I read was for High School The Grapes of Wrath ( not THAT long ago, but long enough lol)=)

As much as I loved Of Mice and Men, I'm not so much a fan of The Grapes of Wrath. That might be because my Lit teacher gave a class full of seniors the book two weeks before our high school graduation and told us we were going to read and test on it before we graduated. Spoiler: it's not a "read in two weeks and test on it" kind of book. Ah, well =P

Interestingly, while I was going through getting links together for this post, I found that five of the books apparently vanished from my "Read" shelf, and I think some of my ratings for other books disappeared as well. The heck?

I've had weird things happening with some of my books too. Some have gone from To-Read to Read, and I haven't read them yet. None of them have even a star rating, let alone a completion date or genre shelves, so I know I didn't mark them as read.
My total page count for the year has DROPPED over 1,000 pages since this time last month (after accounting for the books I read in July). Since I'm doing a page-based challenge for 2015, that's NOT a good thing :(
I don't want to look too hard at other potential problems; I'm afraid of what I might find!

Barb, I'm kind of relieved to see it's not just me. If it were just one book I'd put it off to my own silliness, but five? Most of which were in one series? I'm a goof, but not that bad =P
I'm actually almost done with the current flavors - like...only a handful of books away. I'm very resolutely Not Thinking About all the E's I'll have to read when I hop into the Flavor Graveyard :)

The current flavors. I finished them.
Holy buckets Batman.
