“I was fifteen when I first met Sherlock Holmes, fifteen years old with my nose in a book as I walked the Sussex Downs, and nearly stepped on him. In my defense I must say it was an engrossing book, and it was very rare to come across another person in that particular part of the world in that war year of 1915.”

How lovely to catch up with you here. Thank you so much for Friending me. Will I see you at Bouchercon in Oct?

Thanks so much for the friendship!
I've gotta read your books!
I love Sherlock and Miss Marple.
Best....Linda

Just finished Language of Bees and loved it. Didn't want it to end knowing I have to wait for the next one.

Thank you for the friend invitation, and greater thanks for your books. Your Mary Russell books are all amongst my absolute favorites, and now that I'm reading the Martinelli books, I see those are wonderful also.
Thanks again,
Rachel

Thanks for the friend invite. I've enjoyed all your books enormously. Congratulations on cracking the NY Times top ten!

A friend of mine recommended Beekeeper's Apprentice last year after I went through a bad breakup, and though I went to it a bit grudgingly, I found the series a balm, and a beautifully built world in which to let my brain have a different kind of exercise than the usual post-split running in circles. Beekeeper's Apprentice especially was a repeated restorative for me, and is a familiar joy that I cheerfully turn back to now that life is on more of an even keel.
So thanks very much for that as well; I'm really looking forward to the next story.

Thanks for the invite! I simply adore the Mary Russell mysteries & am so happy the series is continuing!

Thanks for befriending me. When I wrote that review of your book I never thought it would lead me to being one of your friends on goodreads. Again thanks!
