Congrats Beth NC! I am in the same boat as Donna Jo...I am anxiously waiting the 25 point tasks.

For 5.1: Fall Colors: I read Hack: How I Stopped Worrying About What to Do with My Life and Started Driving a Yellow Cab
(I loved this book.. a really quick read, and some salty vignettes from driving on the streets of New York.
For 10.9: Flashlight Worthy, I chose "Their Eyes Were Watching God" by Zora Neale Hurston (illustrated by Jerry Pickney, with Foreward by Ruby Dee). This was on the "5 Beloved Heroines to Channel on an Off Day" list on Flashlight Worthy. I'll say. I finished this in about 2 sittings... reading the dialogue aloud to myself silently. It was very compelling, and beautifully written.

Task 10.9 (Flashlight Worthy) I read Undead and Unwed by MaryJanice Davidson from the list "Vampire Novels You Can Sink Your Teeth Into". I didn't find it flashlight worthy, and I usually love books like this.
Task 20.3 (Feminist Literature) Opting Out?: Why Women Really Quit Careers and Head Home by Pamela Stone is a non-fiction book about 3rd wave feminism (as described by the author). She studies why well-educated, successful woman are quitting their jobs to "stay at home" with their children. Through interviews, she attempts to determine how these women could have stayed in their careers and covers their attempts to fashion jobs that will give them work-life balance. I thought it was interesting, but certainly for a limited audience!
