2021's Practical(ly Fun) New Year's Resolutions

This past year has been long and painful, and felt like it would never end. And now it is! We are on the precipice of a brand new year.

We are meeting 2021 wiser, and with enough strength to weather whatever this new year has waiting for us. And that kind of mindset means we have had to adjust our New Year’s resolutions a bit.

Lanelle Below is a list of fun (and maybe realistic) goals. Do them or just read for them:

1. Stop doom scrolling on Twitter. Read a book:
a. with tagged 'apocalyptic' or 'post-apocalyptic'
b. on a device (not a hard copy or audio book)
c. with a bird on the cover or is important to the story

2. Live my best life and only buy pants with no buttons or zippers. Read a book:
a. read a memoir or biography
b. you purchased
c. set before zippers were invented (1851)

3. Cultivate the confidence of Kanye West. Read a book:
a. where the MC gardens
b. where the MC has a lot of confidence
c. set west of where you live

4. Go vegan for six months and inevitably give up. Read a book:
a. with a lot plants on the cover
b. the 6th book of a series
c. try again to read a book you DNF

5. Sign up for a marathon that I bravely will not actually run. Read a book:
a. for a different challenge that you signed up for
