Susan Wiggs's life is all about family, friends...and fiction. She lives at the water's edge on an island in Puget Sound, and she commutes to her writers' group in a 17-foot motorboat. She serves as author liaison for Field's End, a literary community on Bainbridge Island, Washington, bringing inspiration and instruction from the world's top authors to her seaside community. (See www.fieldsend.org) She's been featured in the national media, including NPR's "Talk of the Nation," and is a popular speaker locally and nationally.

According to Publishers Weekly, Wiggs writes with "refreshingly honest emotion," and the Salem Statesman Journal adds that she is "one of our best observers of stories of the heart [who] knows how to capture emotion on

Bom Dia, Brasil!

It always blows my mind when I see my books published around the globe in other languages and formats. For a story that started in my tiny corner of the world to make its way to readers in distant lands is a miracle to me. It affirms my belief that stories connect us, no matter where we are or what language we speak.

Brazil fell in love with THE LOST AND FOUND BOOKSHOP. I’ve never been to Brazil. I

The Oysterville Sewing Circle by Susan Wiggs
For the survivors
Can we take a minute and talk about this simple page? I just wanted to point out a couple of things. While writing this book, I talked with a number of survivors of workplace harassment and domestic violence, in person, on the phone, and via text and email. One thing that every single one of these women urged me to do in this book is to be mindful of how they are referred to. Not as victims, but as SURVIVORS. This term honors their struggle and their status, and I thought it was powerful enough to use as a dedication for this book.
