message 1009: by Candice (new)

Candice I'm one of the anti-list people. Here is my review of my Popsugar Reading Challenge 2018.

I set out to complete a reading challenge because I wanted to expand my reading horizons. The first twenty books (giver or take) were easy because everything I read filled multiple prompts. After that, I had to start thinking more about the prompts. I discovered a few new authors and books that I might never have read without the challenge. My least favorite prompt was Nordic Noir: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Honestly, most of the experience was overwhelmingly positive. Here are my personal favorites.

A book set on a different planet: Children of Time
A past goodreads award winner: The Hate U Give
A book you borrowed or that was given to you as a gift: The Name of the Wind
A book made into a movie you’ve already seen: Jurassic Park
A book by an author of a different ethnicity than you: Astrophysics for People in a Hurry
A book mentioned in another book: Moving Pictures
A book about feminism: Inferior: How Science Got Women Wrong—and the New Research That's Rewriting the Story
A book involving a heist: The Heist
True Crime: The Feather Thief: Beauty, Obsession, and the Natural History Heist of the Century
A book with a time of day in the title: Nights in Rodanthe
A book with alliteration in the title: Silent Spring
A book with a female author who uses a male pseudonym: The Cuckoo's Calling
A book that involves a bookstore or library: The Little Paris Bookshop
A books set in a country that fascinates you: The Genius Plague
A childhood classic you’ve never read: The Golden Compass
