Bidulka’s most recent book was described as "...poignant, ingeniously plotted, and exquisitely told" (The Ottawa Review of Books). His books have been nominated for Crime Writers of Canada Arthur Ellis Awards, Saskatchewan Book Awards, a ReLit award, Lambda Literary Awards, with Flight of Aquavit awarded the Lambda Literary Award for Best Men’s Mystery, making Bidulka the first Canadian to win in that category.

In 1999 Anthony Bidulka, BA, BEd, BComm, CPA left a decade long professional accounting career to pursue writing and never looked back.

In 2003, Quill & Quire described Bidulka’s first book, Amuse Bouche: A Russell Quant Mystery, as “…an effervescent first novel that is much like the tasty French hors d’oeuvres from which it takes its

Hi Nada,
Indeed it would be. And not so far out of the realm of possibility.
The series has a long history with this. The series has twice been optioned for TV/Movie development. There have been a number of interesting projects developed, even going as far as casting discussions. I know very little about the TV/Movie business except what I've learned through this process. Things tend to happen at the speed of light or glacially slow (from the author's perspective). The reality is that for the books that are fortunate enough to be optioned, most never move to development. In the meantime it is a quite exciting prospect and I've had the opportunity to be in some very interesting meetings.
I take heart in that, pretty much since book 4 or 5, there has been constant interest in turning the Quant books into a visual medium of some kind. As with many things, it would take the meeting of the right people at the right time on the right project. I never say never. Magic can happen. Thanks for thinking so too!(less)

Hello Renesansni,
Thank you for your kind words. As a writer I always hope that people will enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them.
Indeed, this was a shift in genre for me, one which I quite enjoyed. I am currently working on another stand alone suspense novel which I hope to release sometime in 2017.
Thank you for being a reader!

It’s The Beautiful Bunch…and an early teaser…

Since signing the publishing contract for Going to Beautiful, there have been a lot of things going on, even though the book’s release date is over a year away.

One of the first things I did…and among the most enjoyable…was initiating The Beautiful Bunch. The whole idea behind The Beautiful Bunch is to bring together an ‘army’ of readers who are

This just wasn't for me, or maybe I wasn't in the right mood for it.
I gave it until page 100. I typically only read a little bit at a time...or maybe I'm just a slow reader...so with most books I put them down and pick them up many times throughout

Positive modern love story

There are many things I liked about this book. First off it is very well written and has some sharp quick humour to it.
Often times when there are a lot of characters in a book it can be difficult to keep track of who’s who.

There is nothing wrong with this book, other than I felt I'd read it before. I like John Grisham books quite a lot. But by about page 100 I asked someone who'd already read it if something unexpected happens and when they said no, I decided to read n ...more
Anthony Bidulka added a status update: There are certain books by certain authors I like to have paper copies of and keep. John Grisham is one. Ian Hamilton. Gail Bowen, Louise Penny, Alexander McCall Smith. Sue Grafton. I have this dream that someday I'll go back and read them again. Hasn't happened yet. But maybe....
