A Pictorial Memoir: 23 years in the making, is a reflection of the hard work and sacrifices faced by many young Americans who unselfishly don the uniform of the U.S. Armed Forces. Each one individually, and respectively has their own story. In this Memoir, I am grateful to have the opportunity to share my story with you the reader, in a Pictorial Memoir. As stated in its’ title there is over 20 years of history and experiences contained in this Memoir. It has been accomplished, around the world over, to include The United States, The Central Asian States, The South Pacific, Europe, and The Middle East. It has come with great reward, sacrifice, loss, and healing, however, I have enjoyed it to the utmost. Some of the Photos depict graphic violence, as a result of Operational Contingencies in a combat zone, however most are a result of day to day Operations in a direct leadership environment, that I hope are pleasing to you the reader, and I hope that you enjoy this Memoir, as much as I enjoy sharing it with you. As you flip through this Memoir, I would like for you to keep uppermost in your mind, as I have throughout my career that: “ No One prays for Peace more than a soldier, because it is he that has to make the ultimate sacrifice.”
‘ A Pictorial Memoir: 23 Years in the Making,’ is an official entry in the Book Expo America Exhibit in New York, New York May 25 – 27, 2010. ‘ A Pictorial Memoir : 23 Years in the Making,’ is an official entry into the Combined California Library Association Book Exhibit in Sacramento, California, November 15 – 20, 2010.

Take a Glimpse of The Other Side of the Game -- New Book Tells an Autobiographical Tale About Electronic Surveillance and Monitoring
ALAMEDA, Calif., Dec. 18, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- People have the right to privacy. The police have the right to surveillance and monitoring people especially when involved in a legal case. But what if authority abuses its power and breaches into one's privacy with the intent of destroying an individual's anonymity? Author Tadaram Maradas shares a similar experience as he takes readers to The Other Side of the Game.
Espionage movies have shown how electronic devices can be used to tap into a person's privacy and discover his most intimate activities. On film, the process looks fascinating and exciting. But in reality, when one becomes the target of surveillance, it is far from a pleasant experience. The Other Side of the Game tells an excerpt from the many excursions in the life series of author Tadaram Maradas. It tells an autobiographical account in which electronic surveillance and remote neural monitoring led him to file a complaint against the police department.
In this fascinating true account, the author reveals the details of his surveillance and monitoring, including the official documents that were filed in his complaint and the due process he followed. He also takes time to expound on legal terms to readers such as perjury, slander and others-and how one can proceed with these cases. With an in-depth view of electronic surveillance and an extensive index of useful references, The Other Side of the Game is a fascinating read that readers will enjoy and learn from.

I would like to suggest putting my debut novel, Her Sanctuary, on your New Authors to Watch list. Here's the summary and cover pic. It's available on over 25,000 bookstore websites including amazon.com, The Book Depository, BooksOnBoard.com and Barnes&Noble.com.

Shannon Mallory was a woman on the run….not from outside forces but from her own wounded heart. When she pulled up into the parking lot of The Last Resort Café, in the town of Sanctuary, little did she know she would find the one thing she never even knew she was searching for….true love.
Seth Proudfoot wasn’t looking for anything, except an end to his miserable existence. Accused of a crime he couldn’t remember committing, he was ostracized by a town that, ironically, bore the name of the one thing he could never find….Sanctuary.
When the two meet, neither can ignore the magnetic pull between them, but will Shannon allow her damaged spirit to trust a man…a man who may have murdered his own family?
Though Shannon is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen, it is her spirit that breaks down the iron-clad shield around his heart. Their desire burns hotter than the Arizona desert, threatening to melt the very mountains that loom like silent Gods above their heads. But can their love survive a betrayal that could very well cost them both their lives?
It's been getting great reviews from amazon.com and right here at goodreads with an average rating of 4.04. Please consider it for your listonia list as I am self-published and any free promotion is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!

Seers of Light looks good. Manchester House, Living Beneath The Radar...
The first ten looks interesting. Why the question, if I may?

ETA: I'm more than a little dubious about Mists of Avalon being on here - it came out in 1985. Also, Pride and Prejudice on here is just ridiculous, I'm removing that one.

At twelve years old, Avery Norton had everything: a boyfriend who was also her best friend, the entirety of Martha's Vineyard as her playground, and her very own garden to tend. Set in 1950s Massachusetts, Rabbits in the Garden follows Avery Norton's struggle to prove her innocence and escape Taunton with her mind intact.
"This well-written tale keeps the reader turning pages right up to the increasingly twisted and unexpected ending."
"It’s a master piece in the horror genre."
"This is horror the way it should be – crawling under your skin slowly, from page one till the very end, and turning the world as you know it into something scary and unfamiliar."
"Her writing style is unique and so incredibly powerful - there were times while reading this book that I was physically shaking - from fear, anger, and plenty of other emotions. Jessica McHugh has a way with words, of crafting the text into something that will make you really feel it."

I noticed James Patterson has a book on here and he is not new. Maybe someone who has librarian status should clean this Listopia up a bit. thanks

So I would think she would flunk the "yet to be noticed" part, personally.
The Ballad of Young Tam Lin (2011)
Patricia A. Leslie
The place is the Scottish Borders. The time is 1790. Lady Janet Dunbar, just turned twenty, is a very proper young heiress, who has had a 'modern' education, and does not believe in tales about fairies and elves.
But now she is with child, gossips' tongues are wagging, her father the Earl is furious and has ordered her to keep to her chamber until she agrees to reveal her lover's name...
And Tam Lin -- the handsome, charming young gentleman to whom she so trustingly gave away her virtue on May Day -- has turned out to be the sworn consort of the Elf-Queen of Summerland.
Can anything else go wrong in Janet's neatly-planned life?
Well ... do Fairy-Folk dance in the woods?
THE BALLAD OF YOUNG TAM LIN is 461 pages of wit, romance, and lighthearted family drama. Strongly inspired by the original old Scottish ballad, set in 1790, and written in the spirit of Jane Austen as a historical comedy of manners, the story is blended with paranormal elements derived from real mythology, Celtic folklore, and contemporary metaphysical wisdom, with a dash of Shakespeare's 'Midsummer' blended in.
The traditional Scottish ballad of Tam Lin has inspired many re-tellings. This is the first to set the tale in the late 1700s, and the first to continue the story in an ongoing family-saga series of fantasy-romances, generation by generation.
This edition includes an appendix with a Scottish word glossary.

As a new author with a very recently published work (Kindle) I would like permission to add my book, NOT AGAIN.
The background to the book can be found at http://askdavid.com/reviews/book/insp...

I just found this while reading summaries in hopes of stumbling upon any of them. This was probably 20 yrs ago+/- that I read them.
Many thanks & hoping I'm not stepping on toes here.

You might want to set a ratings ceiling for the list, like 2000 ratings. That would probably cut the list in half, but if an author has gotten 2000 ratings they really aren't so unheard of anymore.
