Not quite ready for adult fiction, but too old for the kiddy books. Welcome to the world of YA books!

Trish wrote: "what is this website about i,m confused please help because i thought we were reading books for free"It's a site to keep track of your books (to-read, read, etc.), rate what you've read, review them either to share with others or just keep track of what you thought.
You can read some books on here - stuff like Anne of Green Gables, Arthur Conan Doyle, H.P. Lovecraft... anything that is old enough that the copyright is up and it's publicly accessible. New/current books can't be shared because it's illegal - if you want ebooks, try Amazon, Barnes and Nobel, or the itunes store.

Vojta,
According to me....
I dont think Divergent is for 13 year old ppl. M 13 n I've read it. I think it's for 14 or sthg. As for Hunger Games. M gonna read it. Know a little bit bout it n I find it amazing.
So.... I can't actually tell the age limit for that one.
Vojta wrote: "I am confused... hunger games, divergent... that are bloody books... is it really for 12-13y girl? Please tell me, i am thinking about xmass gifts."I’m a girl, I love those books! Even if its bloody, brutal and may be a bit scary at times, they are well-written, amazing, suspenceful and best books ever.
There used to be a special bookcase for '12 to 13-year-old' at the local library, I remember. Before that (under 12) you could only pick books from the children's shelves, and only when you turned 14 you were considered old enough to read 'mature' books ;-) Boy, how things have changed....
I really think everyone should read the Vampire Academy series, OMG i fell in love with it, it is absolutely amazing! It is about three races of vampires from Romanian folklore. Two races are good, and the last is murderess, they kill everyone, and the book is about a girl fighting these monsters to protect her loved ones. OMG it is so GOOD!

Of course! I am 12 years old, and i read these books, and I love them, they are much more than bloody and gory. they let you explore a world that will never happen, they let you experience being a hero! :)

Pshhhhh.....I read those when I was 10 and 11 years old and I was fine.
Horn-Horn by ADT McLellan - one of those few books that you will go from the last page immediately back to the first page. Like The Sixth Sense, reading it a second time is like reading it for the first time again. It's a completely different story once all of the twists are revealed.
I read Harry Potter when I was in first grade, i read the hunger games in third, and i read percy jackson in fourth (although my mom read me the first percy jackson book when i was in kindergarten)
Vojta wrote: "I am confused... hunger games, divergent... that are bloody books... is it really for 12-13y girl? Please tell me, i am thinking about xmass gifts."i read divergent and i'm an 11 year old girl
it's... okay i guess you'll need to decide by the child's interest but i think he or she would or should like it
Vojta wrote: "I am confused... hunger games, divergent... that are bloody books... is it really for 12-13y girl? Please tell me, I am thinking about Xmas gifts."MOST DEFINITELY! I am 12 and I think it's fine! Go ahead. Well, it kind of depends on her likes and dislikes. If she isn't into "bloody books" than I don't think you should get them for her. But, if she is fine with it such books, go ahead!
I had to laugh at the word "Girls" in the title of this Listopia :-) (I know what is meant, but still). I used to read both 'boys' and 'girls' books when I was that age.

Its a website toreccomend books
Trish wrote: "what is this website about i,m confused please help because i thought we were reading books for free"Goodreads is not a website where you can read books.
Vojta wrote: "I am confused... hunger games, divergent... that are bloody books... is it really for 12-13y girl? Please tell me, i am thinking about xmass gifts."I read Divergent when I was ten, then stopped when I realized it wasn't for my age group. I read The Hunger Games at age 11 and was fine. I'd say 13+ for both of them, but a mature 11/12 yo. who doesn't get very scared easily can read it. Maybe check Common Sense Media's website to see what kind of content is in the books, then decide if it's appropriate for the person(s) you want to give it to.
To be honest, i just signed up in this website and no joking, the comments made me laugh more than any book!
Vojta wrote: "I am confused... hunger games, divergent... that are bloody books... is it really for 12-13y girl? Please tell me, i am thinking about xmass gifts."It maybe has a pg rating, so it can be read by 13-13 year olds, but it also depends of the taste of the person, if they like romace or thrillers.
