Since Divergent has 92,000 ratings on Goodreads and is currently top of most of the lists (not to mention, the book is sold with a sticker on the front stating it is "Goodreads favorite book winner") - if no one objects, I'll remove it from this list.

who hasn't heard of 50 shades trilogy?

I wish the creator of the list would come forward and clarify what they'd like to see. The title of the list is "Best Books You've Never Heard Of" but the description is, "List of "5 star" rated e-books, that have yet to make it to yor local bookstore" which..if, following the description, would disqualify almost all the books on this list.

If it's simply the best book we've never heard of, that still disqualifies most of this first page. I'm going to go ahead and remove all the 50 Shades (115k ratings) books, because it's ludicrous to say those are unknown, along with the Divergent series (99k ratings) which comes with a sticker on the front of the book that says "Voted Goodreads favorite book".

Rachel, you make me laugh with your "this entire list is a bust". This list was created in 2012. In 2012, this was true. Now that we're in 2019 (7 years later), these are now more popular and in print.

A book like A Clockwork Orange (#174) was first published in 1962, according to GR, and has been in print ever since. Although I can't be sure as to a local bookstore (I'm Dutch), it shouldn't be on this list, in my opinion.
