July has been a busy month, so i haven't had a chance to sign up til' today. But my reading this month has been done with this challenge in mind. So here's my list.Historical.
Not sure if a novella from an anthology counts, but i hope it does.
Novella name:Free, a story of Evernight. Read.
Contemporary.
Read.
Future.
Does near future count?
Read.
Year i was born.
Hmmm, not a lot of interesting-sounding books published in 92'.
To Read.
Big City.
Read.
Small country.
Read.
Space.
To Read.
Town entirely created by the author.
Read.
Book set in the USA (very few books are set where i live).
Currently reading.
Lauren, just out of curiosity, where do you live? I bet the group could come up with a handful of books that would be relatively local for you. It's fun reading books that take place in your own area. Of course, note that the challenge wasn't just where you live, but also places you have visited. :-)
Finished! I loved Changless - it was four stars until that intense ending that pushed it definitively into 5 star territory. I hope Lord Maccon suffers forever in the next book!!Of Time:
Of place
7. (Rural) Gabriel Hawk’s Lady by Beverly Barton - ★ ★ ★
Lauren, don't complain. There are TONS of books set where I live. Most of them are set in one of two different eras. Either Colonial or Civil War. Altho someone DID stage "The LAST Battle of Fredericksburg" here in a SciFi series. lol, it was GREAT. Many of us "long timers" from here voted the author an honourary citizen in appreciation for his "work on making the 'Burg more beautiful." And what exactly did he do to make the 'Burg more beautiful? He LEVELED the truly ugly 1970 5 story monstrosity that is the Federal Building. It does not mesh at all with Downtown, and makes absolutely no attempt to do so.
Wow! close but no cigar! That's it for me. I'm happy!List **Subject to change at any time**

I have one day to read my last book. It might happen, but I've already done better than I thought I would - Xenocide was time-consuming and nerve-wracking, and now to discover that it didn't end with this book - GRR! And too much was left hanging to drop it, so looks like I'll be reading Children of the MindParanormal Romance

MARTINA'S JULY CHALLENGE - OF TIME & SPACE - 10/10 COMPLETED!!! FINISHED!! YAY! :-)Just finished Bonds of Justice (Psy-Changeling, #8) by Nalini Singh (★★★★). I think this book, or at the very least, a book from this series was on at least 75% of the lists for the "futuristic" category, so this is likely repetitive for most of you. However, if you AREN'T reading this series, you should be! They take place around the year 2080 in a world consisting of humans, shape-shifters, and "psy" (humans with various psychic powers). Each book is a different story of how a unique love overcomes not only adversity, but is also an adventure story of political intrigue, murder mystery, and more. They're solid reading and the series plot arc will keep you wanting more! Book #9 will be in in Nov 2010 and I'll be buying it for sure!
Now I'm off to comprise my reading list for the August Challenge! :-)
