Nita (gillnit) Finished my first for this challenge, Assassin's Honor. It is the first in a series. Again I run into liking the concept and mythology, but not liking the romance. I usually do not mind it when a couple meets each other and it is almost instant love but for some reason it annoyed me a bit in this book. Will most likely read the second book when it comes out, and see how I feel then about the series.

Martina the Book Fairy (book_fairy) | 442 comments MARTINA'S JULY CHALLENGE - OF TIME & SPACE - 2/10 COMPLETED

Just finished Captain Jack's Woman (★★★★). This book is a historical romance (I couldn't find any pnr from 1977) set in England in the early 1800's. It's mostly set in the countryside near the coast. There's a fair mix of romance/sex and excitement/danger from smuggling/spies, which I always appreciate. I can't abide a romance that is nothing but romance anymore.

Generally speaking, I enjoyed the book a lot, but I also tend to enjoy books set in this time period (like Jane Austen) so that might be a given. :-)
