Nice! Sir Anni, they already have some Buddy Reads in the words for those two books, so if you click the title link it will lead you to the discussion post. I couldn't find the Shannara one...but I know it's happening sometime this year ^^

And should add Holy Sister after Grey ;)

hahaha. Of course Chris XD Although, I may be in the less popular view of Red Sister...I'm nearly done with the book and I'm just not as ecstatic about it as others are. So for now I'm most likely going to but the Ancestors Series on hold for a while and see if I can get back into it later ^^;

I know and I already added them to my Tracker :) Shannara will be read in April, June and July, here are the Threads:

I also wasn't too thrilled by Red Sister, but the book felt like a huge setup for Grey Sister, so I'm interested to see what will happen next :)

Right? Maybe that's part of the reason I didn't care for it? That and the fact I didn't really click with any of the characters. They were all just kinda meh to me. But this last chapter, wow, did not expect it O.O It will be interesting to see what follows :)

Yeah, I had the same problem with the characters... Also they all felt a little flat to me... I had the same problem with the broken empire trilogy, maybe Lawrence writing style and characters aren't my cup of tea after all... That was one of the reasons why I picked up the audiobook, for this trilogy, it requires less efford and so in generall I enjoy the books more :)

That's a good idea for the audiobook! I found Red Sister on Scrib and have been listening to it at work to catch up XD Less effort, for sure. And I love to hear the narrators get into their storytelling mode. But sometimes I need to rewind to some bits if my multitasking is failing. lol

Oh yeah? That's another trilogy by Mark Lawrence, right?

The first time I read Prince, I liked it but wasn't blown away. So I never got to the others. Then last year I wanted to get back to them but had forgotten most of Prince. I listened to the audio and liked it a lot more than I had on my first reading. Finished the trilogy that way.

Gotcha, gotcha. I find listening to the audiobooks in High Fantasy books can help a lot in that regard. Nice! Another series to look into XD

I'm currently rereading Red Sister, and I'm finding the same thing - that I'm liking it more. I'll listen to Grey Sister again too and be ready for Holy Sister :)

May has been such a great month of Buddy Reads!!! I may have fallen a bit behind, but I've loved the books I've read nonetheless ^~^ Mistborn being my favorite by far :D

Thanks Charlie! I really did! Well of Ascension surprised me so many times, especially at the end there. Gosh, I'm lovin' this series :D
Have you read all of the Mistborn books? I know there are a few...The third one has started in the Buddy Reads, you're welcome to join...but I'm sure you're pretty packed with books yourself at the moment XD

I've read all of them (read the original trilogy twice!) and I'm pretty packed with BRs right now but I'll probably stalk the comments to see what everyone thinks.
The ending to WoA really was excellent. I just didn't see any of it coming!

So it is meant to be a trilogy then? I thought there were a few more after those? How does it work then? XD
I can totally understand you wanted to read them twice! They're so good!
Right? Same here, same here O.O

Yeah, The first 3 Mistborn books are a complete trilogy and then the Wax and Wayne books are set hundreds of years later but in the same world. They're also great but not on the same level as the original trilogy in my opinion.

@Anni - Comfort level is an important thing though Anni! I've read so many well written stories that didn't connect with me as much because of the slower pacing (or characters I suppose, lol). Like with Hero of Ages, I loved loved loved how everything was tied up in the end. But the majority of the book is fairly slow paced...with little reveals every couple chapters or so. I know every book can't be a thriller and fast paced...but still XD
Regardless, can't wait to check out that Wax and Wayne series later in the year :D Thanks for your opinions on the series you two ^^
