I think I'm on 29. Had to take a break this week and study my motorcycle handbook so I can get my license.
Kate wrote: "I in the middle of number 18 . . . is there a quick way to post those covers? Love it!!!"
when you go to do your post at the top of the box it says add book/author, click that and click on cover at the bottom... hope that helps you
Thanks, Victoria. For this post, did you add each one individually? I must say, I love looking at everyone's covers!!!
I really didn't expect to read so much this year but I kind of got lost in the pages... Although it's not a bad place to lose yourself. I've been lost in worse places...1•

I've read 56 so far, but I'm too lazy to show the book covers like the rest of you.. :-/I've changed my goal to 100 for the first year out of my three years of reading 50. Heh.
I am working on #31 which is the The Bell Jar and will be reading a lot of chic-lit this summer. It's what summers are for! Hope everyone else is doing well. Here are the other books: [image error]

Ok...I am very far behind...I have only read 11. War and Peace has had a bit to do w/ that though I think. Hopefully when I am through that I can pick up the pace the rest of the summer.
i'm currently on #35. i didn't even hit 30 for 2008 (but i only started the challenge on 8/1/08, so i guess that's ok) so i feel like i've already surpassed my expectations. i'm staying with 50 as my goal, but i may secretly shoot for 75, just to see how close i get. i'll admit that some of the books i've read weren't heavy reading, but that doesn't bother me.
I'm on 35 as well, though I have been reading quite a few YA novels, which are much quicker reads than some adult novels. I am also trying to read books from the 1001 books to read before you die list, which tend to be heavier reads, so maybe they balance each other out. I will try and add a book list later.
I'm a little behind but I sped things up in May and I hope I can continue at that pace!1. [image error] 2.

I do mine quarterly as this is my main outlet in life! THe Spring quarter has been hard for me...I am up to 38 of my 50 ending with the beginning of summer on the 21st of June! So I have to cram like mad for the next few weeks!
Jaime wrote: "Ok...I am very far behind...I have only read 11. War and Peace has had a bit to do w/ that though I think. I can't even get through Pillars of the Earth and I have another one, The Rise and Fall of Great Powers, which I have been trying to finish since college!! I graduated in 1990 . . . I've promised myself that when those two are finished, I'll start Ulysses.
Well, I'm a little behind, only halfway through number 22, but that has has a lot to do with school being crazy. The spring semester just ended so hopefully I can do some catching up.
I'm on target so far I think! Should hit 25 by the end of the month as I have library books that are due back on the 26th June.[image error]

And then I also took a 2 month hiatus from it but I am still plugging along because I would like to finish it @ some point in the near future.
I havent read the books that you have mentioned but good luck w/ them...

I'm not as far along as I'd like to be (only 21 so far), but plan to do a ton of reading this weekend.
I've read 73 so far! Some of them were kids or teen novels, but I'm still quite happy with my total. Last year I read 128 so I'm hoping to read more than that in 2009.1.

Wow Rachel, 78 is impressive! I have just joined this group so have lots of work to do. Currently just over 1/5th with 11! Quick question, how do you post the book pics?
Thanks! I didn't have much of a social life this year as I was in my senior year of high school and applying for Uni, so I filled in most of my free time with books. Plus, the Nancy Drew and Babysitters Club books only take about an hour to read :)When you're replying to the post, click on "add book/author" and search for the book. Make sure you click on the "cover" option at the bottom before clicking "add item."

Thanks Rachel, nice to learn something new.
ONLY ON 13 MYSELF BUT I STILL THINK I CAN MAKE IT. HOPEFULLY THE SUMMER WILL KICK ME INTO HIGH SPEED.
I am currently on my 26th book. But if I finish the summer reading challenge in another GR group, I'll have my 50 by July 31st. We'll see! I read 9 in May so if I keep the same pace, I should do it! :)
