Okay, I just discovered today that I can go in and delete books that shouldn't be there. yay! So, now it should be better. I think people just get carried away in adding books to the list. Please let me know if I missed something. I'm familiar with most of the authors, but not all.

Are there any Christian Historical Romance reading groups on goodreads? I'm on a reading rampage and love this type of book, and have read so many good ones. Seems there are so many great books out there. I'd love to subscribe to a group that reads similar inspirational, clean, romantic, and christian books like I do.
Nevey Berry wrote: "This means all from this list are CLEAN ROMANCE???"Not neccessarily as people's opinion on clean varies but you stand a very good chance of them being clean reads. Ive read many from this list and Ive been able to let my daughter(she's 15) read them too. The only ones I havent let my daughter read were ones I just felt were too mature for her, where there was marital longing or if the kisses were too passionate. But most are just good clean reads which is why I like this genre.
I want to read historical fiction... but I do not want romance to be the primary topic... please will you help me. I love Jan Karons books.
Also... years ago an author wrote books about Alaska, during the Russian era. I read one about an Aleut woman. I am Aleut and I would like to see if there are more books. I cannot recall the author. Help?
I would like Christian Historical that " isn't fiction " more than fiction. Do you have a category like that?

My favorite historical fiction writer is Francine Rivers. As an historical fiction writer myself (author of OF ONE TONGUE) I know all the work that goes into research and then trying to make a enticing book with facts that you cannot deviate from. I think Rivers does and excellent job of this. -Willow Dressel
There are a few of these that are definitely not clean/Christian. There are 2 books by Lisa Kleypas on the list (#999 and #1050 as I type this). Also not Christian is one by Lauren Kate. I think it's called Torrent (Part of the Fallen series) it's on page 9 or 10.Edit:
also #1084 The Prize by Julie Garwood is unlikely to be Christian.
Edit #2: also:
#1094 Lords of the Underworld Definitely not Christian
#1123- Another book from the Fallen series- not Christian
#1146 & 1157- Lisa Kleypas books, definitely not
#1139, #1316 & #1322 Where She Went, Princess Diaries, and Angel Experiment. Not Christian and not historical.
The ones which I indicated were "definitely not" Christian all have explicit sex scenes in them. The others simply do not have God/Christians from a Christian view (or, with the case of the Julie Garwood book, I can't remember how explicit it is)
Page 11 has Hope Harbor by Irene Hannon. There are at least two more by Irene Hannon they all are not Historical. There are a group that is all labeled 1071. Likewaise #1089.
I dont think Lisa Kleypas is Christian. She is on pages 11 and 12.
Natalie Walters is not Historical. Page 12.
