Roseanna M. White is a bestselling, Christy Award nominated author who has long claimed that words are the air she breathes. When not writing fiction, she’s homeschooling her two kids, editing, designing book covers, and pretending her house will clean itself. Roseanna is the author of a slew of historical novels that span several continents and thousands of years. Spies and war and mayhem always seem to find their way into her books…to offset her real life, which is blessedly ordinary. She and her family make their home in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. You can learn more about her and her stories at www.RoseannaMWhite.com.

My inspiration at the time was a combination of fairy tales and Lori Wick's Kensington Chronicles. =) I've rewritten that story approximately a gazillion times and am soooooo excited that it's finally being published! It is barely recognizable from that first draft, but the heart of the story is still the same, and I'm thrilled to welcome Brook and Justin into the world!(less)

I was the kid sitting in class, frantically taking notes...not of facts and dates, but of the stories I could tell about it, LOL. I always thought history was best learned and appreciated through the stories of individuals, so historical fiction came naturally to me! Truly my first love in writing.(less)

Word of the Week - Fence

Originally posted in May 2015

So, duh moment. Did you know that the noun fence--like, you know, the thing around your yard--is from defense? Yeah. Duh. I'd never paused to consider that, perhaps because the spelling has ended up different, but there you go! It has been a shortening of defense with the same meaning since the 14th century. Then sense of that enclosure followed in the 15th centur Read more of this blog post »

I honestly have no idea. The audio rights are sold to Recorded Books, and they're the ones who make all choices on narrators and everything else. But Liz is back on The Nature of a Lady!

More of Roseanna's books…
“Just because a feeling is natural does not mean it should be indulged.”
Roseanna White, A Stray Drop of Blood

“He's still there, unchanged, even when we can't feel Him. When the grief's too loud to let us hear His voice.”
Roseanna M. White, The Number of Love

“The world may still look dark, but if photography had taught her anything, it was that there was always more light to be found. Sometimes you just needed to change your lens. And sometimes you need a flash. Neither ever changed what was really there... but it showed it in a new way.”
Roseanna M. White, A Portrait of Loyalty
