For many years, Lynn Austin nurtured a desire to write but frequent travels and the demands of her growing family postponed her career. When her husband's work took Lynn to Bogota, Colombia, for two years, she used the B.A. she'd earned at Southern Connecticut State University to become a teacher. After returning to the U.S., the Austins moved to Anderson, Indiana, Thunder Bay, Ontario, and later to Winnipeg, Manitoba.

It was during the long Canadian winters at home with her children that Lynn made progress on her dream to write, carving out a few hours of writing time each day while her children napped. Each time I sit down to dream up imaginary characters and the vivid worlds they inhabit, I’m tapping into a source that resembles a bucket more than a bottomless well or a flowing stream. If I don’t take time to refill that bucket, sooner or later my creative “juices” are going to run dry. This is time away from writing when I take my creative child somewhere to play.(less)

Hello-
I can't really answer this question since I haven't had much time to read for myself! I also tend not to read a book in the genre I'm writing in at the moment just so I can have a fresh take on my work.
Some of my readers have told me they found my 'Chronicles of the Kings' series to be geared towards men, but you may have already read them.(less)

What a wonderful, whirlwind three-week adventure I had in Europe! It would take a month of blogs to describe all of the amazing people I met, the beautiful sights I saw, and the way that the Holy Spirit was present in my travels and talks. Many of you told me how much you enjoyed being an armchair traveler with me through my Facebook and Instagram posts. Thanks for coming along. (Oh, and did I...
