Debby Baitz good list!

message 3: by joce (new)

joce thumbs upppp!

message 4: by Andrea (new)

Andrea a lot of these books aren't from 2011-2012... :S

I ♥ Bookie Nookie (bookienookiereviews.blogspot.com) Tons of these books are not stand alone books

message 6: by Zoe (new)

Zoe Yeah the series books ruin this list ... is it possible to delete them?

I ♥ Bookie Nookie (bookienookiereviews.blogspot.com) Zoe wrote: "Yeah the series books ruin this list ... is it possible to delete them?"

it is definitely something you can edit. I can't remember if you have to be a librarian or just the creator... are you either or both, perhaps?

I ♥ Bookie Nookie (bookienookiereviews.blogspot.com) ok, I just looked and I know librarians can edit the list...I am a librarian, so I can definitely delete some of the series books... You MAY be able to edit the list if you are the creator but not a librarian. To do this, just go to the description at the top and click "edit" and click remove books from this list.

I will start this in case you cannot edit.

message 9: by I ♥ Bookie Nookie (bookienookiereviews.blogspot.com) (last edited Aug 14, 2012 06:04AM) (new)

I ♥ Bookie Nookie (bookienookiereviews.blogspot.com) ok, I deleted books that are for sure part of a series. I am sure there are more. If you cannot delete, then post the book covers of books you want to remove here and i will delete them for you :-)

I originally removed the Kristen Ashley books, but re-added them because they can stand alone.

message 10: by Noel (new)

Noel Yale I hate it whenever people make a series out of a good stand alone book.
But of course these days it's the publisher's fault most of the time.

message 11: by Ami (new)

Ami E. Bowen "Where She Went" by Gayle Foreman is a sequel so by it's very existence is not a stand-a-lone. And "Easy" by Tammara Webber is listed twice. It must be a good book! :)

message 12: by Samia (new)

Samia Ruponti Ami wrote: ""Where She Went" by Gayle Foreman is a sequel so by it's very existence is not a stand-a-lone. And "Easy" by Tammara Webber is listed twice. It must be a good book! :)"

Easy is awesome! I have just finished reading it for the 3rd time.

message 14: by Farah 🌈 (new)

Farah 🌈 Majority of these are not stand alone books -_-

message 15: by Kristina (new)

Kristina 41 of the first 100 are NOT stand alone books...

message 16: by Mike (new)

Mike Wonderful. I just cleansed the other list, now I have to do this one too. Doesn't anyone else know how to remove books from lists?

message 17: by Ezi (new)

Ezi Chinny How are these books stand-alones? Flat out love, Slammed, On Dublin Street etc all have sequels or even more.

Like many people have said, these books are NOT standalone. Perhaps you should consider changing the title to something more accurate

message 18: by Holly (new)

Holly Letson How is it a STAND-ALONE if it's #2 or #3 of a SERIES?

I understand that some series, like romances (Sweet Dreams, Harlequin Blaze, etc.) can stand alone since each story does not carry on into a separate book. This is usually series that are written by different authors. But, it does not work for normal series.

Someone needs to clean this list.

message 19: by Maryam (new)

Maryam Would look into this list just cuz it has *The fault in our stars* but skeptically as it has fifty shades series too. LOL

message 20: by Liana (last edited Aug 07, 2013 06:22PM) (new)

Liana These are all great books, but half of them aren't stand-alone novels and really can't be read on their own (unless you want to be very confused...).

message 21: by Amy (new)

Amy Petty I came to this list looking for actual standalone titles. I don't understand why books that are part of a series are permitted here. Doesn't matter if they are thought by some people to be good books on their own. Since it's a list meant for standalone books, then by rights, standalone books should be the ONLY ones on this list. After all, the list is allegedly MEANT for standalones.

Kay Dee (what is your storygraph name? mine is in my bio. join me!) Meadows hmmmm whoever created this list still has not deleted the series books from the list. sigh.. what gets me are the people who keep voting for them to stay on the list. sigh.

message 23: by Grace (new)

Grace Agree with Monica, also Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier for instance.

message 24: by Brian (new)

Brian Amy wrote: "I came to this list looking for actual standalone titles. I don't understand why books that are part of a series are permitted here. Doesn't matter if they are thought by some people to be good b..."

Exactly my thoughts. I couldn't have said it better. This list is just so disappointing in so many ways.

message 25: by la (new)

la im butterflying looviinggggg thesseeeeeeee bookkks!!!!!

message 26: by Paul (new)

Paul Bowes Checked for duplicates: 1 book removed.

message 27: by Boo (new)

Boo HALF THESE BOOKS ARE PART OF A SERIES. Do you people know what a standalone book even is????

message 28: by Dominique (new)

Dominique Half of these books are YA and The HOST is #9. Freaking Stephenie Meyer!?

I can't trusts listopia any longer..It's just full of garbage.

message 29: by Chloe (new)

Chloe Ami wrote: ""Where She Went" by Gayle Foreman is a sequel so by it's very existence is not a stand-a-lone. And "Easy" by Tammara Webber is listed twice. It must be a good book! :)"

It is! You should pick it up

message 30: by Bella (new)

Bella Umm... why is To Kill A Mockingbird on this list? I thought this was for millennial books...

message 31: by Greselley (new)

Greselley On Dublin Street is clearly not a stand alone.

BookLovingLady (deceased Jan. 25, 2023...) Bella wrote: "Umm... why is To Kill A Mockingbird on this list? I thought this was for millennial books..."

It's been deleted.

message 33: by Alison (Lady Coffin) (last edited May 02, 2017 03:47AM) (new)

Alison (Lady Coffin) S How can these books that haven't even been published yet be on a list for 2000-2015?

p13 #1199 - Lord of Shadows (The Dark Artifices, #2) by Cassandra Clare
p13 #1216 - The Queen of Air and Darkness (The Dark Artifices, #3)

I've removed them.

message 35: by Donna (new)

Donna Davis The system found and removed 2 duplicates.

message 36: by Diana (new)

Diana I remove books that can't be considered standalones, the end of the story is in the final books of the series:

Cross fire 2
Clockwork Princess
