For whatever reason, I often untie a story knot if I'm on a 3-4 mile walk through the wooded park near my house. Second, research. If I get stuck, I'll research more about my character's profession or other particular trait, and often I'll learn something that will take me in a new direction. (less)

It’s been quite some time since I’ve posted a blog. I apologize for the neglect. All I can say is that this has been an extremely busy spring in the Beck household. Between my deadlines, my Romance Writers of America board service, and college visits for my high school junior, I’m one obligation shy of a nervous breakdown.

While we’re talking about my calendar, here are a few local events where...

“Blame. Such a useless word. People flung it around when they were mad or hurt. Or they carried it like a cross until it destroyed any chance at redemption or happiness. Blame never solved one problem or changed a single outcome. A pointless, unproductive, ultimately destructive concept, really.”
Jamie Beck, Before I Knew

“Indulgent compassion and bending to the will of another had nearly destroyed her.”
Jamie Beck, Before I Knew

“real love is about focusing on what the person you love needs rather than what you need or want.”

I don't know that I ever saw or replied to this notice. Now it is months later! Sorry. Sometimes I stay away from GR for chunks of time. I love it as a reader, but it can be a little harsh when you see a bad review! LOL Anyway, I appreciate your note and hope you enjoyed ITC as well as WTW. I'm busy writing more books for all my series, so hopefully I can continue to keep you entertained. Thanks for writing!
