I've completed my goal. I'm now King, and it took less that three months. But I've had so much fun, I think I'll continue. Going for God.

WTG!!! I haven't been able to start yet. That's the problem with being a slow reader :)

Thanks, Melissa. And Amber, you're mistaken. It's GREAT to be King. (I hear a Disney song somewhere in that line.)

Joyce wrote: "Ok I've got a question that I don't see answered yet. When is the "PANIC" button used?"

Excerpt from the rules: "6. Don't like a tile you have landed on? Deduct 1 book and push the panic link to receive a general card like "Read a book from your favorite genre" or "Read a book published in your birth month"

I hope that helped. :)

Marla, have you gone over the Philosophical Science Fiction List? There are so many great books there.

I can recommend The Left Hand of Darkness (Hainish Cycle, #4) by Ursula K. Le Guin The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K. Le Guin Alas, Babylon by Pat Frank The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials, #1) by Philip Pullman and any of the essential dystopian novels.

P.S.: I was stuck forever on "A.I." until I started reading Asimov's Robot series. Turned out I loved it. :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm just not a huge dystopian or philosophical fan. And since I'm plodding through 2 non-fictions right now, I'm not feeling very patient with my reading.

Well, I've got 4 months to read 4 books...

What questions do you have? The instructions are located in the first message in this thread.

Pick a starting spot, then read a fantasy/sci-fi book that satisfies that condition. Then roll the dice and move to the next spot and continue.

You can check out my reading list here.

Thanks Amber for putting together this wonderful challenge! I thoroughly enjoyed playing it. Great job!

Pat Well I failed to reach my goal but I really enjoyed this challenge! (See post 81) I plan to pick it up again in January as I think the only reason that I didn't make the goal is there was about 3 months when I wasn't working on it. This challenge was really different, and opened me up to types of books that I don't generally pick up. Thanks Amber!!

Floy | 4 comments This is so awesome and fun!! I'm definitely in, this will help me get reading again!! I read so much when in high school and my kids were little. Now they're grown and moved on and you would think I would read even more but for some reason it's dropped off dramatically! Weird!! But this is awesome, I love games and reading! haha

Starting out small, 1-10 books in 6 months.
Starting as soon as I finish a co-worker borrowed book, I'll say 2-27-17.

Rolled 5 on Combo Board, Romance Erotica (have a ton of these I can re-read, yay!)

Zuzana | 1203 comments KoffeeBreakWithKelby, I'm afraid you can't skip around. Books have to be read in order, it's in the rules. Sorry!

quote:
Q: I've pre-rolled so can I read my books out of order?
A: No, to make the challenge a little bit more difficult and fair for those that don't pre-roll please read the books in order.
