Thank you for this comment, I just thought the same thing while looking at the list. I understand it's "my challenge, my rules", but SOME restrictions apply (for me) 😅
It's a bit more of a "problem" (I'm aware we're talking about a light-hearted reading challenge that all of us complete voluntarily) when you're looking for books for harder-to-fulfill prompts, like the one about characters with certain properties or set in a certain season. What if people add books that aren't REALLY set in summer, but just on a sunny day, and I only find out after 300 pages? 😐

Yes, exactly! :-D It's not a serious problem, just a bit irritating, but I depend on these lists 100%. I want my books to fit the prompt. If it's "just something similar, or might work on a dark day" kind of match, I don't want it. People can read whatever they want, but these lists should be accurate.
I can remove those if the mods would like. As a librarian, I have to be careful to only remove books that are obviously wrong (as in if there's any chance someone really thinks that and didn't add a book by mistake, which happens a lot on large lists, such as nonfiction books on fiction only lists, etc) but if the listopia maker wants them off, I can do that.

As this is a global and very personal challenge, everyone is welcome to interpret the prompts as they see fit and read (and add) the books they want. The title might also be less/more of a spoiler in other languages.

I'd forgotten about titles in other countries; even books in English can have different ones overseas.
eg
Balthazar Jones and the Tower of London Zoo is the original title in England, but in Canada and the States it's The Tower, the Zoo, and the Tortoise

Or "The Old Man and the Sea". It's about an old man and the sea. Where's the spoiler?
Or... "The Girl who stopped swimming". Ok, so it's probably about a girl who stopped swimming, but the title doesn't say anything about why she stopped swimming, nor if the problem is ever solved, or how.
Or "Spying in high heels". It's about a woman who starts "spying" because things happen. It's not a spoiler, it's the premise of the book.
