Yeah, I created it, it told me it hadn't created it, I went to report the problem at GR Feedback, and couldn't post. Very bumpy day here!
If anyone knows of any decades lists that qualify (I'm going to be starting the 60s list tomorrow), let me know.

Happy New Year everyone.

Health and Happiness all Year Long
Susanna - Censored by GoodReads wrote: "Go ahead, Cynda! Open to all over 35."Okay. I will add a few soon. :-)
Susanna - Censored by GoodReads wrote: "Can't believe it's only the 3rd of January and there are 23 books with multiple votes - wow."Not only that; there are so many already that I've either read or are on my to be read list. Wow indeed :-)
What a great looking list already.Does anyone else feel that the next four years are going to be a great boon to the book industry? I have already stopped watching some of the things I used to watch avidly, such as 20th Jan etc.
Bettie, Thanks for alerting me to this list. I'm so much older than most who are "over 35" though. I'll follow the list but whether I add books to it partly depends on how many books I can actually read this year.
Susanna - Censored by GoodReads wrote: "Yes, it is. Why do you ask?" on the 2nd or 3rd it seemed like a lot of books were posted in such a short time and I saw that one person had voted 49 times...
@EveryoneCan you please only vote for (or add) books you have actually read in 2017? The description is very clear about this, and you'll spoil this list otherwise, which I'm sure is not your intention. (And you have to be over 35 to add or vote for titles)
Thanks in advance for removing your votes for books you haven't read this year!

I have current read on this list, as per years past, yet they do only account for three. I feel people should be allowed to vote for their current reads. :O)
Hey! I just joined. Some one mentioned this list in the “What we've read so far in 2017” discussion. https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
I was wondering if we would see 1984 on the list. On this list I notice:
no 1: 1984
no 4: The Handmaid's Tale
no 8:The Man in the High Castle
no 14: The Plot Against America
no 25: Animal Farm
(I assume Shakespeare: Julius Caesar is on the list for other reasons ;-)
I guess whoever started it in past years didn't start one this year? (I haven't seen one.)ETA: Anyone starts one, I'll link to it.
Speaking of 1984 suiting the zeitgeist, it's selling so well on Amazon that Penguin's ordered a reprint of 75,000 copies, and they're re-releasing the 1984 movie of 1984 this spring. (Alias "Richard Burton's last film.")
Just finished The Plot Against America. Now I have read all five books that surfaced due to the Trump situation. IMHO "The Plot Against America" is the one that is most relevant to read.

As the summer challenge for the Netherlands & Flanders group is Nobel prize winners, I've been reading (and adding) several :-)
Thank you for hosting this list Julie - we didn't say much this year, but I sure enjoyed watching the way we all read. On to the next year's one I say!
