Last year's top reads were The Nightingale, The Girl on the Train, Me Before You, A Man Called Ove, and The Book Thief. (That list is here: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/9... .)

oh!
Happy New Year everyone.

Thanks for the link. Okay if I add a book or two a well. I know Goodreads will let me, but I want your permission asmit is your creation.
Health and Happiness all Year Long

Okay. I will add a few soon. :-)

Not only that; there are so many already that I've either read or are on my to be read list. Wow indeed :-)

Does anyone else feel that the next four years are going to be a great boon to the book industry? I have already stopped watching some of the things I used to watch avidly, such as 20th Jan etc.

Can you please only vote for (or add) books you have actually read in 2017? The description is very clear about this, and you'll spoil this list otherwise, which I'm sure is not your intention. (And you have to be over 35 to add or vote for titles)
Thanks in advance for removing your votes for books you haven't read this year!

I have current read on this list, as per years past, yet they do only account for three. I feel people should be allowed to vote for their current reads. :O)

I was wondering if we would see 1984 on the list. On this list I notice:
no 1: 1984
no 4: The Handmaid's Tale
no 8:The Man in the High Castle
no 14: The Plot Against America
no 25: Animal Farm
(I assume Shakespeare: Julius Caesar is on the list for other reasons ;-)

ETA: Anyone starts one, I'll link to it.

Good Work - I need to revisit that one
