Dear Kathy,
For a few years, RULES OF CIVILITY has been in development at Lionsgate to make a feature film. Recently, however, Lionsgate has shifted course and decided to make it into a long form television movie/series - so that they don't have to cut the story. Now, cross your fingers and wait.

"It took me an embarrassingly long time to get through this book, and I don't know why because it is spectacular. Maybe my subconscious was slowing me down to savor it? Regardless, it was one of the best I've read this year, and might be up there i..." Read more of this review »

“In our twenties, when there is still so much time ahead of us, time that seems ample for a hundred indecisions, for a hundred visions and revisions—we draw a card, and we must decide right then and there whether to keep that card and discard the next, or discard the first card and keep the second. And before we know it, the deck has been played out and the decisions we have just made will shape our lives for decades to come.”
Amor Towles, Rules of Civility

“It is a lovely oddity of human nature that a person is more inclined to interrupt two people in conversation than one person alone with a book.”
Amor Towles, Rules of Civility

“...be careful when choosing what you're proud of--because the world has every intention of using it against you.”
