When you let a book sit on the "currently reading" shelf for so long but know you finished it, just can't remember when, and feel guilty enough to re-listen instead of assigning an arbitrary "read" date.

Oh, I should really read the blurbs on installments of a series I'm practically devouring...for some reason I was thinking we'd get Duncan's story.

...looks like that one isn't even out yet, damnit. Oh well, only a couple weeks to wait for it.

Didn't much care for the first one, but I'm in it for the porn this go 'round.

I gotta say that the title of this one has me a bit skerrrred.

OMG there is NOTHING WORSE than going to the hospital & not having my phone/Kindle/laptop. I wasn't prepared this time & almost bored myself 2 death.

This damned infection is determined to make my life hell & not being able 2 start the next Criminal Intentions was simply the last straw. It's on now, bitch. I'm beating U back 2 whatever petri dish U spawned from. And I'm never letting my phone out of my sight again.

JFC. The UST is absolutely gonna kill me...

I just have to say that the suspense-building in that first scene was top-notch. Much more engaging than the first scene of the previous book...almost as good as the first scene of the first book.

LOL! When you claim so many of the free MM Romance books for the Valentine's promotion at Prolific Works that the website throws up captchas for half of them to make sure you're not a robot!

Okay, the banter in this one is top notch snark.

I am a scary alien ET, wielding a Poop Stick. Yeah, I'd be afraid of me.

You know, when I picked up the 1st one I thought I was just going in for some alien/human smut & instead got an interesting, engaging, exciting story of slavery, escape & survival. (Reminding me vaguely of Starship Troopers didn't hurt).

This one is even more interesting, with a crazy good level of world-building & characterization.

LOL at Kit's Hotel Neuroses...I only wish I could bury my head in the sand and think, "Not at the hotels where I stay." Instead, my brain sees everything in hotels/motels as petri dishes and I end up wiping everything down with SaniWipes before using it. And don't even get me started on those comforters...

When you're too lazy to write a review for a book you've finished (and liked) and yet find the energy to start another one...that's totally me right now.

Which means I'm making more work for myself later since I just can't leave them sitting on the "Currently Reading" shelf forever.

I know I said I wouldn't read anything new until I cleared my Currently Reading list...only I forgot to take into account that I needed audiobooks for my daily IV infusion appointments. Oops, one resolution already (sort of) broken.

So, yeah, my resolutions for this year all have to do with reading:

*DNF any book I'm not connecting w/by the 30% mark.
*Finish all the non-web comic titles languishing in my Currently Reading queue before starting another. (2 of them I've already completed, but haven't marked.)
*No more rounding up books @ the 3.5 threshold. (I've got no delusions GR will give us half-stars, though.)
*Retry some of the Nope Books.

It's only about an hour long...let's see if I can get it done before midnight.

Well, if there's a bright side to needing IV antibiotic infusions for the next 7 weeks, it's that I'm getting a lot of reading done.

So, I'm reading an MF book.

It's okay ya'll, I loved these characters in Jamie & Aiden's story...I haven't been replaced with a pod person, promise.

Besides it being set at Christmas, it counts for another challenge...and I wanted to finish the Irish & Whiskey series so I can start in on Cam & Nic's series.

Have been holding on to this one...gonna listen tonight.

Listening this time, and already loving KC Kelly's narration! 💖ing his accents so hard right now.

So I am right-handed, which means that I hold my Kindle & my phone, almost exclusively, in my right hand to read. But I never realized how much I hold that whole arm up to do this.

Got a PICC line put in today & it's like, ow. Achy arm. Typing isn't helping either. Am sitting @ my desk trying to read w/my phone on a make-shift easel.

SO NOT COMFORTABLE RIGHT NOW!

Gotta figure out how to prop it on my boobs.

Okay, I just need to get this done. It's taking up a valuable "borrow" space in my KU library. *diving in*

Yum! Sex with an anonymous, costumed Wesley...love it when The Princess Bride shows up in my reads/listens.
