Oh, so ignore my rant about the cover model representing Rojas not looking 58 years old...

Because reasons. Plotty kind. Oops.

I am loving this story so far...but I have one seriously, major complaint:

That guy on the right of the cover? If he's supposed to be Rojas then I call BULLSHIT. That is not a 58 year old by any stretch of the imagination.

That said, I AM happy to have an actual Silver Fox as an MC in this MM Romance.

It's still Month Of Mary, and this fits a challenge...so I guess a re-read via audio is in order. Plus, maybe I'll like it better the second time around (provided the narrator is good).

I am really tired of my "Read" books not showing up in the correct order of completion. I've still got books I finished in 2018 & 2019 showing up (in ascending order) as read before the ones I completed in 2016 & 2017 (which are in a weird mess themselves).

Is anyone else having this problem?

Is anyone else having issues with their "Read" shelf? I sorted by "Date Read" (⬇️) and several books I completed recently don't show up. I tried reversing the order (⬆️) and books from 2018 & 2019 show up before the non-specified date titles, and even the ones I read in 2015.

This is really, really good. If it weren't for the names & a very few personality quirks I don't think I'd recognize this as an AU Sterek/TeenWolf fanfic since the characters & setting are so different.

Why in the hell aren't stories like this one getting the ELJ treatment, instead of a shitty Poldark rip-off? Oh, because it's MM. Duh.

When I'm done, I'm definitely going to see what else this author has on AO3...

Yeah, I need a break. It's one thing to read about this kind of thing from an investigating LEO's perspective in a typical murder-mystery or missing person's case...quite another when it's the victim's POV.

I am definitely in an odd mood.

See, I don't like horror movies & I rarely read horror at all. So I don't know why I picked this one to read now. And I certainly have no idea why I am enthralled with it. Given the violence, gore & gut-wrenching fear here (w/an MC that is inappropriately aroused by it) I think I'll have reached my limit - @ least for the rest of the month!

HA!!! Found it on another external drive. Now to dig out the other one and check it for the full-length novel to follow...
