When trying to add titles to a new LGBT shelf - remember to change settings AWAY from "random" before attempting to Batch Edit 5000+ books. *le sigh* Less than half of them got added in the first round...

The next few days are shaping up to be the most stressful since 2016. I voted today and now I almost don't want to be online again until November 7th.

Good think I have a lot of challenge to read for! Bring on the books!

Dealing w/some issues that hearing triggered...plus, OMFG guys, I had some dental work done & I am in so much pain that it even hurts to read. Thankfully there are audiobooks in which to immerse myself.

If you've never had "dry socket" then consider yourself blessed; I'd rather go through labor again - twice - than suffer this right now.

Sorry if I'm spamming your feeds; I tried to turn off notifications but I think that all my moving of books from the more visible "Want to Read" shelf to one I call "back-burner" (for ones I'm considering, but not sure of - or are subsequent installments in a series I'm reading)...well, it might still be showing up all over the place.

Is anyone else having issues with trying to shelve books?

I have several that are exclusive (read, want to read, back-burner, nope, etc.) & no matter which one I try to choose GR marks it as "read." Which I then have to cancel (when the edit box comes up) & for the most part that deletes the "read" status...but for the last 3 books I've had to go to My Books and delete it completely.

OMG, when did InstaFreebie get the sign-in option? I absolutely love that it's more like Smashwords or my accounts at independent publishers...honestly, so often I forget to check my email to download the attachments that I wonder if I've asked for a book more than once. Now, all 160+ books I've asked for (so far?) are all in one place.

So, absolutely nothing to do with books...but I just had to say HOLY SHIT, after watching them on The Tonight Show, now I understand why everyone is obsessed with K-Pop & BTS.

I was never really big on the boy bands, even when I was their target audience...& I'm not likely to start now. But man, even though I didn't understand 90% of the lyrics, the songs made me want to get up and dance my ass off. Great style mix.

I'm so scared to finish this book; I have a feeling it's gonna rip out my heart...which, I guess would make it stop aching for John?

Why in the hell did I wait so long to listen to this? It's hilarious!

So, after more than a month of being out of town...I have A LOT of books to update on GR. Honestly, most of them will not have real reviews - only ratings - because that's just too much work to complete at once. If you're on the fence & want details, just comment.

I've been pretty consistently re-reading (via audio) lately, so if some of them come out with audiobooks I'll try to do complete reviews for those titles.

I hadn't really planned to read this book (using a SAFEWORD card for the AOM challenge) but since I rolled "abuse" for the Pushing Boundaries Challenge, and this was an option, I figured, "Why not?"

Especially since it ALSO works for the YA category in the MMRG Monthly Challenge, multiple categories in the Shelfathon AND the Romance Readers Quarterly challenge "New-to-Me Author."

I just wanted to thank the Librarians & procurement people at the Las Vegas-Clark County Library. I don't always the books & audios I want, but somehow I get more than 80% of them fulfilled when I submit the requests.

I'm especially grateful given that 99% of them are also gay romance; there's generally not enough of those available.

So, first audio I've listened to with Kenneth Obi as narrator...and I am LOVING the different voice portrayals for each character. DEFINITELY gonna keep him in mind when it comes to other audios he's attached to.

Really liked this first foray (for me) into the DD/lb trope when I read...so of COURSE I am interested in listening to it. Especially since I've dabbled a bit more in reading the extreme age play kink and liked it.

OMG this is the last one published so far, but not the actual Finale of the story. I'm tempted to go slow, draw it out, since I'm not sure when Book 10 is set for release...but who am I kidding? I'll devour it just like I did the others in this series.

BINGO read...had this one for almost a freaking decade, languishing around on my hard drive, so I figured, "What the hell, it's a for a challenge and it's relatively short."
