Task 5.2 (read a play) I read "Annie" by Thomas Meehan and "The Twelve Plays of Christmas" by Pat Cook. These total over 200 pages. I can't find either in the Goodreads database, but they are plays my kids are in and both are published.

Task 10.4 (takes place in the wilderness) I read The Terror by Dan Simmons. The fictionalized story of what might have happened to the crews of The Erebus and The Terror, two ships lost in the mid-1800s while exploring the Arctic. This book has left me speechless. Literally unable to describe it. It was horrifying -- I had to read most of it outside (where I live it is still over 90 degrees and humid), and even then felt chilled to the bone. I am normally a fast reader (reading a book every day or two) and I read this over the course of 6 weeks (thereby single-handedly killing my chances to finish this season's challenge!). It's not for everyone, but it is one of the most amazing things I have ever read.

Task 15.1 New Horizons I read Collision Course by K.A. Mitchell off of the GLBT shelf. I have several friends that read a lot of these types of romance books and I had definitely never read anything like this before! It made me realize that males, as a species, are still beyond my understanding. So a romance of two males is a bit of a puzzle, no matter how well-written. it certainly was steamy, though!

Task 15.7 (mystery) I chose B and read 4:50 From Paddington by Agatha Christie off of the Best Crime and Mystery Books shelf. This Miss Marple is one of my favorite AC books of this year's reread. Great fun!

I would like to claim a 750+ Big Book (two tickets) for "The Terror" which was 786 pages.
