This book was haunting, the author was vulnerable and laid bare what war is. I don't want to forget this, keeping the soldiers in my prayers. War tears a soul apart. I never had an understanding like this.

Agh, so-so. I probably won't read anymore of this series.

15.2 - "RECOMMENDED BOOKS" Read The World According to Garp by John Irving. This was #40 on the list when I chose it. I also voted for some of my favorites.
15.4 - "FALL EQUINOX " Obviously I didn't use the subtitles in this one! Both books have 16 characters in the main title, counting the ' in Book B.
Book A. - The Style Strategy: A Less-Is-More Approach to Staying Chic and Shopping Smart by Nina Garcia
Book B. - Freakin' Fabulous: How to Dress, Speak, Act, Eat, Sleep, Entertain, Decorate, and Generally Be Better Than Everyone Else by Clinton Kelly
25.2 - Leigh Ann's task - AS HER DEBUT...
Book A. - Pick any author and read (or reread) their debut novel (fiction). Read A Long, Long Time Ago and Essentially True by Brigid Pasulka
Book B. - Pick an author who published their debut novel (fiction) in 2010 and read it. Read The Blind Contessa's New Machine by Carey Wallace. On Goodreads there shows another book by an author of this name, but it looks like a different person. According to the publisher's website, this is her first - "Carey Wallace was raised in small towns in Michigan. She has worked as a waitress, private biographer, and lady's maid. She is the founder of The Hillbilly Underground, an artists' retreat in rural Michigan. She currently resides in Brooklyn, N.Y. This is her first novel."
The World According to Garp is just over 600 pages so I claim a Big Book Ticket.
