WORLD BOOK DAY CHALLENGE

World Book Day is an annual event organized by UNESCO to promote reading, publishing, and copyright. The first World Book Day was celebrated on 23 April in 1995, and continues to be recognized on that day. On the occasion of World Book and Copyright Day, UNESCO along with the advisory committee from the major sectors of the book industry, select the World Book Capital for one year. Each designated World Book Capital City carries out a program of activities to celebrate and promote books and reading.

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 35 comments I'm confused a bit by the wording of a task and wanted to double-check before I use it incorrectly:

Read a book with an author using a pen name - do you mean:
A. written by an author/author duo using a (single) pen name
B. with a author character who used a pen name in the story
(C. pick the one I like more *grins*)

message 22: by Melindam (new)

Melindam | 4427 comments :D I like the approach, so I'll accept either (I should have put "by an author", I guess ;)

Nike | 65 comments Excuse me but I do have a question. It says Read a Book from this List Portal. Which portal or list is that? I can't find a link. There are no books that I can find when I click the link of the World Book Day.

message 25: by Melindam (new)

Melindam | 4427 comments Hi,

In the 2nd post, where the tasks are first listed, the word Portal itself is the link, you need to click on it.

I just checked and it's working.
