Jenn (engelsigh) | 1339 comments I have a couple books that are like Candy Cane Murder which contain 3 short stories (about 150 pages each) by three different authors. Goodreads does not have the short stories listed separately. Could I use a book like this for three slots on the short stories list? Or if it's a book of anthologies and there are several can I take up several slots with that?

Yes, Jennifer, you may. Like Casey said, just list it three times. I'd put the name of the short story that applies, too.

Karla I have a question for number 4, can I count the books I started at the beginning of the year, but am still working on, or do I have to start the book over? I only remember a couple of books I have not finished, but I am not willing to finish one of them.

Kelly (kellyvioletke) | 49 comments I'm in for my first challenge with this group as well!

I'm afraid I also had to tweak #4. I only DNF books that make me angry or bore me to tears...and I've learned life is too short and there are too many books to try them again.

Marla | 1803 comments Oh, okay I'll blame Casey, LOL, but my in-progress challenge list is starting to resemble some people's tbr list...but I just can't resist! Maybe I'll have to make a rule like my clothes, I can only buy something if I get rid of something...I can only start a new challenge if I finish one. That's got potential.

Hina (hinaj) | 884 comments Okay I need help! For the category: 4 books that you started but never finished

I usually don't DNF a book even when I hate it. I finish it regardless...so I don't really have anything...I only have one book on my dnf shelf, and that is only because its an anthology and I read one story out of it for a series, but the rest are part of other series I haven't gotten around to it. SO What can I do? Is there an alternative?

Me too, usually! Except *hangs head in shame* I actually have 4 on my to-finish list because they had to be returned to the library and I need to recheck them out.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Hina, a couple of people have had that problem and are therefore tweaking the challenge a bit. I know Karla is doing: "I count the books I started at the beginning of the year, but am still working on..."

You could also do something like: "Books I thought I'd never finish." Or "Books I seriously doubted I'd finished." Or some such thing.

Thanks! I think I will do...4 books where I give the author a second chance. Authors from my 1 star shelf, they are pretty much what I avoid reading so I don't have to DNF a book. :)
