I just found http://io9.com/the-best-science-ficti... - which I thought was pretty interesting. 22 books on a list created Dec 30, 2014. Of which 13 are already on this list. Might be interesting to check out the end of the year list this year.
I'm thinking of adding the Kitschies Red Tentacle Award - http://www.thekitschies.com/awards/re... and possibly the Golden Tentacle Award - http://www.thekitschies.com/awards/go...
Well it is only 5 judges (the kitschies), but the finalists look good. The io9 list looks like a mix-up of different genres, so I think not including it is best.
http://www.locusmag.com/News/2015/07/...Novel:
The Goblin Emperor, Katherine Addison (Tor)
City of Stairs, Robert Jackson Bennett (Broadway; Jo Fletcher)
The Bone Clocks, David Mitchell (Random House; Sceptre)
Area X: The Southern Reach Trilogy, Jeff VanderMeer (Farrar, Straus & Giroux)
My Real Children, Jo Walton (Tor; Corsair)
Apparently when Lines of Departure by Marko Kloos (47North) was withdrawn from the Hugo nominations and The Three-Body Problem, Cixin Liu ( ), translated by Ken Liu (Tor) was added, I never updated this list.
Mitchell wrote: "For those looking at this list, you should take a look at the 2016 list as well."Thanks for your work (i take it you created these lists). Can we look forward to lists prior to 2006 anytime soon or should i just make it myself?

Definitely feel free to continue working these lists backward. I created the 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017 lists. Billy Mabray created the first of these lists for 2014. And Bodhi created the earlier lists from 2006 to 2012. And then I added the links between the lists. Be sure to look for a list before you create it, it's possible someone has created it but not added a link.
