And feel free to help maintain these lists - which basically means voting for books on the other lists - a single person is limited to 100 books on any one list - and I don't remove a book that I don't have the votes to move.

I appreciate the help in maintaining this and others of these lists. However, I didn't spot these as being added to the next list. If you or any other librarian wants to help, that's what I would want you to do. Hopefully these are already on the next lists and I just didn't spot them.
Mitchell,My understanding is that for me to add a book to the next list, the book needs to be on my bookshelf.
None of these are books I have read, so I haven't shelved them.
Is this correct, or am I missing something.
Thanks
anybody can add any book to any goodreads list for any reason. that said, a book should be added because it meets the description of the list - and a goodreads librarian might remove it for not actually meeting the criteria.
it definitely does not need to be a book that you have shelved or read.
Many lists meet specific criteria - whether that is subject or ratings or being on a published list or have a word in the title or a color on the cover.
OK, I had not realized that books could be added from search and not just from my shelves.I will get the deleted books added to the next list.

The Ascendance Protocol: Endeavour
The Ascendance Protocol: Endeavour
Masque World and The Unknown graduated and was moved to the next list 100-999And since you only get 100 votes per person per list, that's it for what I will move - since that takes me back to 100 votes on that list, and I won't remove a book on this list unless I can put it on the next list.
For anyone wanting to help out in maintaining these related lists, just vote all 100 of your votes for whichever books are already on a list but have only 1 or 2 voters. Or if you find a book that has more ratings for a list, vote it on to the next list. Or if you are a librarian, add it to the next list and remove it from the current one.
thanks all for any help
Heidi wrote: "Mitchell you pointed out thatyou are at your limit of 100 votes

Perhaps you could ask some GR
librarian you know to help in this
situation."
OR. you (as a non-librarian) could go to the other lists and vote on them. preferably for books that have only 1 or 2 votes. And then I and any other librarian that is maintaining any of these lists, could remove our votes for those books and use our open books to graduate books from lower lists.
Heidi wrote: "Or it might be #77. At least thank you for being polite. I once very politely--and
correctly--pointed out a problem with a book on
another list and the creator of that list
was very rude to me."
The lists are probably my favorite feature on goodreads. But they are very difficult to keep right. People are constantly putting the wrong book on lists - and I mean everyone seems to get it wrong at least sometimes. Keeping a list up the way it was intended is a group effort.
