“Maybe that's the way of things, too. That the more beautiful a thing is, the shorter it seems to last. People now less than flowers”

“Maybe that's the way of things, too. That the more beautiful a thing is, the shorter it seems to last. People no less than flowers.”
Charles E. Gannon, This Broken World

“No matter our personal dedication to goodness and justice, we are all, in greater or lesser measure, complicit in the injustices of the society which we tolerate. Even if we tolerate it for the best of reasons, it is a constant struggle not to be consumed by the self-contempt that such accommodation threatens to breed in any person of conscience.”
Charles E. Gannon, 1636: Calabar's War

Charles E. Hi Everyone:

I will be interviewed by the Sword and Laser podcast's dynamic duo--Veronica and Tom--on Tuesday, November 10. I will post links to the interview when it's available.

And you can be an integral participant: Sword and Laser is largely audience driven. Their questions are mostly taken from questions YOU submit, with a tendency to pick those that show up most frequently on their Goodreads Group page, where people post what they'd like the upcoming interviewee to talk about.

So: the posting area for my upcoming interview is open for business. Just sign up to join the group (see the bottom of the page: no commitment required other than that, and you can remain a member or not as you wish). Once you're signed in, you can ask any questions you'd like--even those which border on series spoilers!

I'm really looking forward to hearing/seeing what interests you and piques your curiosity the most about the series, my other writing, or my work as a writer (or consultant or professor). And in the balance, you'll come into contact with a great podcast and its really fun hosts!

Go here to post your questions and learn more:

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Thanks everyone--and since I can see who asked which questions, if yours is asked, I'll hope to shout out to you as I do!

Best,
Chuck
