Why have my votes been removed from this list? My votes fit the criteria for this list.

Goodreads policy on removing books from Listopia lists: "We have strict rules regarding removing books from Listopia lists, as we consider Listopia to be community-owned content. Only librarians and staff members can remove books from lists, and books can only be removed if they aren't factual fits. For example, if a book was published in 2010, it can be deleted from a "Best Books Published in 2012" list. However, if the book was published in 2012, but you disagree that it's the "best," the book can't be removed."
My votes were actual fits, which means removing my votes violated the GR policy.

This list is specific to a reading challenge on a Goodreads group. As you are not a member of this group and you voted on this list before the list was made public to the group, your votes were removed. Feel free to join our reading challenge and resubmit your books!
Really? So, all the other voters are members of the group? It doesn't say you have to be a member of the group and I have voted on these lists before and my votes weren't removed. If you have to be a member of the group to vote you should have made that clear in the description.

As I said, I've voted on lists started by this group before without having my votes removed. I think you removed my votes to censor me plain & simple. And I have no interest in joining a group that would just censor me as well. And somehow I doubt that everyone who voted on this list is a member of the group. This is exactly why people are fed up with social media.
Since the prompt is "Language or Nationality" I'm a bit distracted by all the titles with actual Country names in the list (Iraq or France are not a language or nationality)I get that it could be used as a KIS option. So if you meant for the list to include countries, don' mind me ;)
No, it should be language or nationality, Nicole! I haven't checked this list in a few weeks so I'll go through again and remove the inappropriately shelved books.
Nicole wrote: "Since the prompt is "Language or Nationality" I'm a bit distracted by all the titles with actual Country names in the list"Yes the list is quite long, yet there are many that don't belong. "America" for instance. I wonder if something like "Frenchman" is allowed because it contains "French"? There are several like that too.
Yea this list has gotten a bit unruly and when I have more time, I may go through and delete votes that were not put there by ATY members because the last few pages seem a bit spammy (unless someone is truly interested in all of the American Ads from every decade?).I did go through and delete all of the books that only had "America" and not "American".
Thank you, this list seems challenging. Iraq, France, Burgundy, China, Germany, England, Vietnam, Korea, Russia don't belong whereas Iraqi, French, Chinese, German, English, Vietnamese, Korean, Russian do. (Those are the country names I noticed, I may have missed some).
@Emily... delete votes that were not put there by ATY members ...
Why? To not belong to a group doesn't mean one does not read along...
