Awesome!! I must confess that I ate it up! haha I just borrowed the 3rd one from a friend( I had no desire to read the 2nd one since it involves totally different people)

I really really like Matt! Not a huge fan of Evan >.<

Julie | 56 comments Finished 2nd pick Good in Bed. The character could be very funny at times but overall, the book was just ok. Too depresssing. This is the second book I've read by this author and have been dissapointed both times.

I finished Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver , our buddy read and commented over on that thread.

I'm planning on reading The Iron Duke (Iron Seas, #1) by Meljean Brook since it's a BOM over at SOS. If you'd like to do another buddy read, let me know. I'll probably start it in the next couple days.

Finished Faith & Fidelity (Faith, Love, & Devotion, #1) by Tere Michaels . Overall I liked the book, especially Matt. I have some issues with the storyline (difficult to comprehend that a straight man would readily embrace the possibility of a m/m relationship after only a few days/weeks of discovering desire/feelings for another man w/o some kind of major 'wtf' & 'hellno' meltdown) & Evan as a character (he's way too 'broken' and should have gotten help to deal with his other issues FIRST). I'd give it a 3.5, but GR won't do halves, so it's rounded to a 4. I'm interested in reading the next book about James. He struck me as hotness. Thanks for the rec AshleyAlexis!

I like the author, but you seriously have to be in the right mood for it. I don't know who posted in the series page that these books are contemporary fiction, because this is the epitome of chick-lit.

I honestly think thats why I loved Matt so much. He was honest about not knowing what to do in a m/m relationship but he totally put himself out there and I loved it. I agree with your opinion of Evan I didnt think he deserved Matt and it actually gets worse in the 3rd book *sigh* I gave the book a 3.5 but rounded it down to a 3. I'm glad you liked it!!

message 623: by Lacy (new)

Lacy (lacy_stewart) | 1966 comments I just finished my buddy read with Caroline of The Picture of Dorian Gray. I really liked the book. It was surprisingly very dark and sinister. It was a little slow in the middle, but picked right back up.

I also read Vision in White and loved the nerdy hero!

Thanks Caroline!

I finally got in the mail the book Hiding from the Light. They sent me large print on accident, which hurts my eyes! I'm going to have to take my time with it. If you want I'll let you know what I think when I 'finally' finish it!

Heather (messybar) | 189 comments Completed Grave Dance as a Buddy Read with Vi ~Maxed Out!~. Wish I could say that I liked it as much as the 1st in the series, but I didn't. There was no development of characters and I'm over the love triangle. Same thing, different page count, though I will give the author praise for her world building. 3 stars.

So far, I'm having better luck with Lover Mine (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #8) by J.R. Ward , but I'm only 60% through it.

Completed for August:

Unlawful Contact (I-Team, #3) by Pamela Clare Shakespeare's Landlord (A Lily Bard Mystery, #1) by Charlaine Harris Secrets of a Summer Night (Wallflowers, #1) by Lisa Kleypas
As BR:
Unlocked (Turner, #1.5) by Courtney Milan Grave Dance (Alex Craft, #2) by Kalayna Price
